Always thought Joique took a lot of blame when the oline was giving him nothing. Good power good hands and I'm glad to see him back.

In 2014, they had one of the better offensive lines in the league and he averaged 3.9 a carry.

He's a career 4.0/carry guy which is basically middle-bottom average in the NFL each year among running backs with pretty limited vision and zero explosiveness.

They already have Joique Bell. His name is Zach Zenner. I don't like either, but he already does everything Bell does minus the whole catching out of the backfield.

He's just not that good. Great story, good guy. Just not a good RB.

Middle-bottom average is a lot better than what the Lions are currently trotting out there at RB. I do not want Joique to be the RB of the future. Nor do I see what the downside is to seeing if he can out play the current nothing the Lions are getting from their backs.

You knew what you could count on with Joique.  It was fine when he was new and had a great story.  But he got a new contract, never improved and got injured.  So what we knew about him was no longer good enough.  Unless Deandre Levy comes back at a Pro Bowl level, the same thing will happen to him.

They know what they are getting, he fits in immediately, and can pass protect, catch out of the backfield.....They could do much worse.  Not a sexy pickup, but not like they will be relying on him like they were when Schwartz was in town.
