The '09 class had at least three linebackers (Isaiah Bell, Mike Jones, and Brandin Hawthorne) with some promise. Aside from Hawthorne (apparently spending time at deep safety), has there been any word on the progress of the others this spring?

Linebacker trio?
Who is Mike Jones and how can I get a hold of him?
When he sacks Terrelle Pryor we'll just say "Who?" and then respond with "MIKE JONES!"
2 8 1, 3 3 oh, eight zero zero fo'
Hit Mike Jones up on the low cause Mikes Jones about to blow
i love the BEV pronunciation (sp?) and spelling of fo'
Jones is playing weakside linebacker, according to Magnus, and Bell is too. Haven't heard an inkling about them from spring rumors yet though, except Denard crushing Mike Jones on his touchdown run.
I'm excited to see how these guys do in the future. They all run well and can give us a sideline to sideline defense in the near future.
The 3 Amigos
I think Hawthorne and Mike Jones (Who?) are competing for the spinner position, with the stouter Isiah Bell trying his hand at OLB
Like the video, but so far there hasn't been any spinner this spring
fair enough ...
They are competing for the spur/bandit position. The one not currently occupied by Kovacs
These are basically weak side and strong side safeties, correct? Which one is Kovacs playing, and which one is storng side and which one is weak side?
Kovacs is playing the "bandit" position. He's essentially a strong safety and drops into deep coverage when they go cover 2.
ugh....im ok with kovacs playing in the box (while not thrilled about it)...but the thought of kovacs dropping into deep coverage gives me nightmares
From what I heard, both Jones and Bell were playing the WILL spot, the one currently occupied by Mouton. I've heard that Bell might try out the MIKE spot too, but now that Demens is looking strong there, maybe not. Either way, I wouldn't worry that we haven't heard much out of those guys since they play a spot with a senior returning starter. If we don't hear about them pushing for PT next year, then we can be more concerned.
