Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year
Hey everyone, vote for Rich Rodriguez as Coach of the Year. We can't let Mark Dantonio stay ahead of him with more votes!

Tom O'Brien and Dabo Sweeney? This is legit...

After they lose to Wisconsin and then to us, they'll go through their Sparty collapse and no one will be voting for Dantonio.

Dantonio will get a lot of pity votes because of the heart attack, even though his team has done nothing special besides that one trick play.

is considered "special" in some circles.

Did anyone else notice that it was Dantonio that volunteered the name of the play during the on-the field, post-game interview? The sideline reporter didn't even come close to asking anything about it but he made sure to get it in there A very savvy, political move for publicity (not to mention douchey) (at the 1:30 mark)...

is that the name of the play doesn't really have anything to do with anything. The play's name would be the stuff of legends if it were EMU knocking off OSU on the road or some middling I-AA team knocking off a I-A power on the road. But it's not -- it's MSU beating ND. And not even a great ND, but a below-average ND that's (at best) pretty evenly matched with MSU. And it happened in East Lansing.
So really, he should have called the play "Barely meeting reasonable expectations."

Well I atleast thought it was pretty interesting that they went into the huddle, simply said "Little Giants," and went out and won the game. I suppose i forgot the maize goggles.

It should be titled coach of September if its soliciting votes now. Anyway, I voted for RR just the same.

I will refrain from voting, as when I started last year is when we started to suck. So I'll wait on that.

Say what?

Oh yeah, Gene Chizik totally is the best coach in the country this year. This is why lists like these don't make any sense until at least halfway through the year - I have no idea how good Auburn is, and I'm not sold that Chizik is not simply the beneficiary of a very good QB.

5 and 19!
5 and 19 is not what we need!
