Lewis given "Best Interception" award at Rivals Five-Star Challenge

Submitted by drewro02 on

Sounds like Lewis capped off a great weekend with another excellent day today in the 7-vs-7 event. This was all the more impressive condidering Tim Sullivan Tweeted that teams were throwing away from Lewis and going after Kendall Fuller instead. Seems like a boost in the rankings is all but a done deal for Lewis. Kudos to Tremendous for predicting that Lewis should end up as a top 100 player by the time all is said and done. Congrats to Jourdan and the rest of the guys who competed.

Best Interception

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech cornerback Jourdan Lewis

In one of the first plays of the day, Lewis made Whitewright (Texas) quarterback Tyrone Swoopes his victim. It was a go-route down the sideline and Swoopes threw it to the outside shoulder of the receiver. Lewis showed his great closing speed and got in front of the receiver getting his hands between him and the ball securing the interception. It was a highlight-worthy play. Another nice interception on the day came from Auburn (Ala.) linebacker Reuben Foster, who kept a deflected pass off the ground by inches securing the interception while laying out.

I don't know what you are referencing here, but I will 100% agree that his "BEST" tagline reeks of DOUCHE, which he clearly is.

I love how he will post about guys "tiring of the process" when he is a major player in why they are tiring!  Guy is relentless.

If true, that sounds like he's a due for a big rankings jump. Fuller is currently the #1 CB and #3 overall prospect per rivals. If teams really preferred to throw at Fuller than Lewis then I'd guess Lewis may fly all the way into the top 40-50

I'll be the first one to bite on this thread then and ask the question. Does this mean that the talks of him being switched to reciever now come to an end?
