The Levenberry prediction/decision open thread

While there are just as many factors that say he'll choose us as there are that he'll choose FSU, I'm going to say I think he goes FSU by a whisker, unfortunately. Two reasons: first, we don't offer a Criminal Justice major, which according to Tim at Rivals he very much wants to major in, and second, all of his Dad's comments, while absolutely glowing about Hoke and Michigan, kinda sound to me like what the Bachelor says about the girl that comes in second: "she's an amazing girl, absolutely fantastic, she has big things ahead of her and some lucky guy is really going to be fortunate to get her." Not that I know (ahem) anything about the Bachelor, my wife must have told me about that...

As others have kind of said, we could really use EJ's talent, but not necessarily at this position.  If we get him, GREAT, if not then I will start getting excited about who else we can go after with his schollie.  He's a great player, but not a "can't miss" right now.

Nobody knows what you're talking about.  We don't watch the Bachelor.  I've never seen it.  Seriously I've never seen it.  Your reference makes no sense to me because I've never watched the Bachelor, and it certainly would make people think lesser of me were I ever to admit I watched the Bachelor -- which I do not.

I don't think there was enough mutual interest there for there to even be speculations about who could've "cooled" on whom. He never visited, to anyone's knowlede never talked to OSU very much, and just didn't didn't show much interest. In the same respect, he likely got a verbal offer because he's a top prospect at his position, and the staff wanted to see if any interest built. Our staff, like yours, knows better than to waste efforts putting the press on a player who isn't interested. See: Robert Foster.

Mike Farrell is saying he's going to FSU.  Posted on The Fort earlier this morning.  Farrell's write up of the situation still leaves it open (he posted an article on Rivals about it), but I think it's a done deal.  The kid is going to FSU.

At this point I only want him to choose Michigan so that Farrell is wrong.  He's been saying all along that Levenberry is going to FSU when I don't think Levenberry even knew where he was going, and I don't want him to be right for a lucky guess.

Florida State and here's why: in the past year, when we've had a day like this - recruit choosing between Michigan and one or two other schools - the recruit inevitably picks the other school. If there's someone I'm missing who picked Michigan under these circumstances, speak up. It's karma.

It was said before and I'll say it again Levenberry is pure luxury at this point. If we don't get him I won't be discouraged at all. We have great depth at linebacker, yes maybewe could use one more to sure up the strong side, but we will be fine. I would love to pull this kid though he is a great talent. We could use another blocking tightend I think if we don't get him that position is pretty shaky right now.

If Levenberry chooses FSU like many of us feel he will, is it everyones opinion that we are done at LB or does Michael Hutchings still have a committable offer? He expressed early interest in UM due to early contact with Hoke, and since Mathis has been hyping us, he seems to have renewed his interest. While I think it is an extreme longshot, the door for another LB may still be slightly open.

That is a good question, but I think in a way we are done with linebacker if we don't get levenberry but we still would take a Hutchings or a Kalambayi in the same way we would take levenberry. Like i said above another linebacker at this point is a luxury
