Maybe Les is worried about his kid's education. Recently I was at a cooking demonstration in New Orleans. The chef - a former NFL player - commented during the demo that he hadn't gone to college, he'd gone to LSU.

“I would love to see him at Michigan,” Miles said of his son, who wants to play football and baseball in college. “The first place that I took him to tour was Michigan, and he fell in love with the place. He said, ‘Dad, I know why you went here.’”

I will say this - that last sentence there is something I would love to hear from my kids if I took them on a tour of the Michigan campus as a teenager (rather than a 7 year-old wondering when we can sit down) at some point.

So much hatred for Les on this board. That's fine, he'll keep winning championships and/or winning 10+ per year while we bask in 31-14 shellackings in the esteemed Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

I don't get the hatred. We would be in better shape on the football field if Les got his shot as the coach of Michigan after Carr. Imagine what Could of been.

I was just going to say something like this. I know, for whatever reasons, people are anti-Miles but I would bet that we'd be winning this whole time if were him instead of RR. I'd also be willing to bet that all the ethics, quirkiness, etc. that everyone brings up would go away if we were winning 10 games every year.

Hoke can win 8 games per year he will be in good  shape here. I don't expect a coaching change for quite sometime. Only way would be if Hoke did not reach .500 this season.

how he stacks up to other quarterbacks when he's a 2015 recruit and Les Miles son. I would think he would have a pretty good idea where he is at. Miles said in the article that he could have played for them last year which may be why his son doesn't want to play for him. He has LSU and Louisiana-Lafayette looking at him according to 247 Sports.

It said he threw two no hitters in high school and wants to play football and baseball. It sounds to me like he's more likely to get a baseball scholarship and can walk on for football.

Unless he hits a growth spurt, I don't know many FBS schools that are going to offer him a scholarship. I'm sure the Miles family has the money to foot the bill for tuition anywhere he wants to go. I wouldn't be surprised if Miles would like to see his son go to Michigan as a preferred walk-on, but if I'm the kid, I'd probably prefer to go to a smaller school (FCS or D-II) and actually play rather than sit on the bench behind Shane Morris, Alex Malzone, etc. for four years.

But the guy loves Michigan and we would've had a hell of a lot better last six years on the football field. It still amazes me that Martin knew from the beginning of the season that Carr was retiring and he still fucked up the coaching search so badly. Brandon's "process" was only marginally better. If people are still wondering why we have been down for so long just take a look at those meandering coaching searches and you'll find out.

What exactly has Les Miles done wrong other than being a "character" during interviews? Never been cited for a violation, never had off-field legal issues, and won 2 national championships.

So, where exactly does he fall short on your "ethics" stick? Don't say he "over recruits," because as far as the NCAA is concerned, nothing is wrong with that.

If Brady doesn't work in a couple of years (FWIW I hope he does work), I am still all for calling Les.

young people do dumb things they regret later or life, or not.  But they will most assuredly pay for it for the rest of their lives because in this world there is no shortage of judgemental people.

He's probably like that one kid we all knew in high school that was pretty good at everything but not exceptional at anything. A good enough athlete to contribute on several varsity sports but not a major D-1 athlete.

So Les Miles allegedly slept with Moeller's wife, who is at least 15 years older than he is.... and Les Miles' current wife, who he met at Michigan and was at Michigan when this alleged affair took place... still stayed with him and is with him today.... and Bo Schembechler and Les were close friends and talked regularly until Bo's death, despite the alleged affair with one of Bo's closest friend's wives.

BS.  The entire story is crap.
