Les Miles stepping down?

Submitted by ThadMattasagoblin on

If it's true, it doesn't really effect Michigan except for coaches we could potentially poach.

Sam McGaw @sammcgaw There are rumors that LSU head football coach Les Miles will step down on Monday after allegedly having an affair with a student. Hmm..

Jacob J Mayer @jacobjmayer Rumors going around that Les Miles is resigning Monday. Haven't seen anything to back it up, but Tigerdroppings admins are working overtime

me in the least.  This is (probably) not the first time this happened to Les.  There were rumors when Les was a student here.  Then there is the whole Les enjoying the company of a Head Coach's wife and was banned from said campus for life.

I would guess his sex drive is over the top to the point that he cannot control himself.  Boy would I love to see him in the Coaches Box as our OC.  Come home Les.

You said it wouldn't surprise you, that "This is (probably) not the first time this happened to Les." thinking it is (most likely) true, and then give your opinion that "I would guess his sex drive is over the top to the point that he cannot control himself." That's your opinion, that agrees with the rumors. So you have a funny way of showing you don't believe it.

Not only that, but LSU hasn't really hasn't had an impressive offense over the last couple years. They have really excelled on the defensive side of the game. Why would we want him as OC? Also, why would he want a demotion? Plenty of other schools that would want him as a head coach. Just a ridiculous comment all the way around.

Back in 2011 I would have let Miles sleep with my wife if he came to michigan...  not so much anymore...

That said, I think a head coach's character effects their teams and at the college level I would want a coach who has some sort of ethics (contrary to my view two years ago)... I would still take him as a coordinator though.

Sure, we had a few guys from LA, but it's not a focal point for us at this time. We've offered a few kids from every talent rich state and FL, GA and CA are far higher priorities. Besides, UT and UA will fight for LA. Not trolling, just not a big opportunity for us. Bigger aspect is Les' connection tonUM than real opportunity for us.

ago does not make it a current recruiting focus. Landing Dileo also doesn't make LA a fertile ground for UM. Great talent in LA, but the current HS kids and coaches are not tethered to our staff or UM's presence 10+ years ago. It would be great to land LA kids, but Saban, Sumlin, Freeze and the next LSU coach will make it a difficult place to pull kids to UM.

Let's see...Bobby Petrino, Urban Meyer and now Les Miles. SEC coaches just can't help themselves. There are some beautiful Coeds down there
