Les Miles has not been contacted about The Job

this guy's bio says he's a reporter for a baton rouge paper.

Les Miles says he's not heard from Michigan on the open job there. #LSU

This is primarily a Michigan football blog and this is quite possibly the most important coaching search the program has ever undergone. We seem to be at a fork in the road where one direction is a proven coach who we hope can save us and the other is another decade of mediocrity.

I would like to think he has at least been asked... Maybe this is a sign that Hackett is all in on Harbaugh, or maybe Les is lying.

I need to stop F5ing...

I believe that this is true.  I hope it means that the AD has quality candidates all lined up and that it can afford to walk away from a perennial 10+ win season, National Championship coach.

And not that they'd rather have another Brady Hoke than hurt someone's feelings by hiring a perennial 10+ win season, National Championship coach.

But I'm worried if our plan A (Harbaugh) falls through that we will go to plan C. Plan B was Miles or Mullen. I don't think Michigan is going to offer either of these SEC coaches the job. So, our only hope may be poaching a coach from a winning program like a Bob Stoops? I hope we don't end up with Schiano!

If it's true, then it means:

A)  Our AD is still disfunctional, or

B)  Our AD has someone better lined up and does not need to go the Les Miles route with the associated baggage and theatre.

I'm sure we've learned our lesson.  It has to be B), right?  Right?

Coach X says he hasn't been contacted.

That is 110% true.

That doesn't say anything about what who has talked to his agent.

99 44/100% of the reporters, commentators, bloggers and analysts don't know anything about the search, and 120% of them know anything about the process.

And they're geniuses compared to the typical interwebs poster.

For a football team that is said to have become nationally irrelevant, the dance with Harbaugh and other candidates has certainly piqued the interest of reporters all over the country.

Just goes to show ya.

Michigan is still a powerful job. We will get the right guy.

I am a certified USA Football coach and I haven't been contacted either. That probably means they are still looking at Plan A. We know who that is...don't we.

similar in a different thread.  Gamesmanship is alive and well.

I am not a certified Coach.  However, I declined The Job as well.  I just cannot leave my current position.

BTW: I love you tag line.  I was at the DMZ (JSA and Dorsan Station) last week.  The North have some crazy SOB's.  I toured tunnel #3 and the North Koreans actually thought they could dig tunnels (4 in total) to invade the South.
