My wife and I were flying down to Charleston, South Carolina out of Detroit Metro in the summer of 2007. There was a delay in our flight and I was in line to talk to one of the attendants at the terminal desk. Some woman behind me asks me how tall I am. Being 6'7", I get this a lot. No big deal. After I tell her, she goes on to tell me about how she has a son who is tall. Initially, I'm not really interested in the conversation so I'm just smiling and shaking my head. She continues about how she is going down to see her son in Lexington and that he was going to play basketball for Michigan but is now going to play for Kentucky. Obviously, this is Legions mother. My interest is certainly peaked so I talk with her a little bit. She says that Legion didn't want to go to Michigan from the beginning. She said his friends teased him, but she wanted him to go there. After Michigan fired Amaker, Legion asked her if he had to honor his commitment and said something to the effect of "Michigan didn't honor their commitment to Amaker so you don't have to honor your commitment to the school." If I had been on my game, I would have thought to ask her what she thought about how Kentucky treated Tubby. She is one confused woman.

He will come to regret being from Michigan and passing up on the opportunity to say he IS a Michigan Man....The benefits of that far exceed any vision of greatness he or his mom may have had... Go Blue!

He will go to a mid-major, show enough flash to convince some gullible NBA general manager to draft/sign him and pay him the tall dollars, and then bounce around the Association, the D-League and Europe without ever giving a second thought to UM. Just saying.

Since he already transferred once would he have any eligibility to play Division One after sitting out? It seems like he will have to transfer to a DII or DII school.

Some people simply can not come to grips with their own situation. Sometime you are the problem and not everyone else, a prospect that should be at least considered but all too often is not. I'd wish him luck but frankly don't give a damn what he does or where he goes - he blew us off and that's that for me. Not feeling too magnanimous today for some reason.
