I spent a few minutes trying to turn HR into a pirate reference but all u could think of was the Simpsons math and "hardy har har" gag.

As a result of, well, these results, I will now owe someone donuts in the morning - neither of us thought a lot of balls would be flying over the outfield fence, but I took Harbaugh over Leach by one home run. I managed to get the margin right at least, so I assume that means I get one of the donuts, although this aspect of the wager was not discussed in quite so much detail.

Either way, sounds like it was a great success!

So I guess it was fast pitch? I was wondering if they were going to lob in softballs or go with the fast pitch. But even if it was a 'slow' fast pitch, I can see why only one was bopped out. But I can imagine the talking Leach must have done after the win! He had a brash streak to him, too. LOL!!

Considering Leach hit 18 HR at the MLB level between the Tigers, Blue Jays, Rangers, and Giants, I would have expected him to beat Harbaugh by more than just one. Although he does have an extra decade-ish on JH. Interesting to note Leach also pitched a single inning for the Jays in '84. Final lone-inning career ERA - 27.00. That decade-long .268 BA at the MLB level, even as mostly a bench player, would probably get him a pretty decent contract these days ("decent" being multi-million, of course).

To all questioning the totals, especially from Leach, watch the video.  From that video, it seems the following took place:

Harbaugh went first and narrowly missed on two hits - with one hitting near the top of the fence.  As such, he was out after just three contacts with the ball.

Leach came close (may have been robbed on the warning track) on his first hit.  He hit the next one out.  At that point he stopped because he beat Jim.  He may have been able to punch a few more out.
