Wow. What a win for Michigan. Basically guarantees they will make the conference tournament.

MVP has got to be Lott for this game. Wins 21 of 24 face offs, including in OT. He'll easily win conference specialist of the week.

Defense played fairly well. Not a lot of easy things for Bellarmine, and buckled down in crunch time. Offense was also very balanced. Only Paras had more than 1 goal. A road conference victory against a pretty good team, and a stout defensive team is a great sign.

This team had 2 goals for the year. Beat OSU (obviously), and make the post season. Looks like one is locked up. People also thought 4 wins for this team would be optimistic. We're basically halfway through the year and they've met those expectations.

How can you say the postseason is locked up? Unless Bellarmine goes winless in the league, we need to win one more to guarantee it. Either way - this is a huge win and obviously goes a long way to getting us into the ECAC tourney.

They already lost to michigan and Air Force, with the top 2 teams in the conference left. They lose tiebreakers with Michigan and AF, so they need to beat both of the top 2 teams in conference to not be in last. Not impossible but not likely.

But if they win one game, and there is a 3-way tie, are you sure they lose it? I don't know how the ECAC does multi-team tie breakers.

It would have to be a 3 way tie with bellarmine and one of OSU or Fairfield. Those 2 teams still have to play each other, so it would also have to be with the loser of that game, and bellarmine would have to beat that loser as well. Will be unlikely.

Phew. Good win. They needed that one. theyre winning close games this year which is different from the last few years.

Bellarmine is pretty good, so this is a good W. Now all they have to do is take out #1 Maryland at the Big House! Go Blue!
