Latwan Anderson considering Michigan?
I don't usually facebook stalk but this popped up on my feed..

I'm pretty sure if he meant Miami he'd have said "The U". Either way it could be nothing but it could be something aswell.

Even though Latwan seems quieter in the interviews I've seen, both of them seem to be similar in upbringing. I think their personalities are alike and a lot of recruits want to go to the hot team, and wow is our young secondary hot!

I'm pretty sure MRob has stated he's being brought in to play the FS position, which is the in the box Safety. So moving him to LB probably won't happen unless he gets way slower than he is now.

Latwan Anderson is a SS/CB, and Dorsey is a SS/CB. Robinson is a FS.
Anderson's commitment would have no more effect on Robinson than it would have on Mike Martin.

Robinson should be moved to spinner! He's not a MLB fit but he fits Stevie Brown's role. He can come up on the run and drop into zone coverage.
Plus all the recruiting services can't decide if he's a safety or a linebacker. This way nobody needs to choose!

I got to think he means Miami. I know it has Michigan under the names in Rivals but it doesn't even have Michigan listed on scout. And he was considering Miami pretty hard early on.

While I think he would definitely help the secondary, I don't really want to pick him up due to the scholarship count. As far as I know from other posts on the board and blog, we are already one scholarship over the limit if everyone qualifies. If Anderson gets added, that moves us even farther into the Saban zone, and I don't like that.
Unless I read posts with faulty math, in which case go ahead.

I have no knowledge on exact numbers but I do believe that we are at or near the 85 scholarship limit right now. But if Latwan wanted to come, I'm sure a scholarship would be found, probably from a fifth year senior. I agree that we need to stay away from the Sabanesque stuff, but as long as we dont start cutting people based upon flimsy reasons and heavily suggesting transfers, etc we should be fine. I'm sure people more in the know (The Other Brian, Brian, TomVH, etc) could probably shed more light on actual scholly numbers.
Still I do agree with most everyone, excited with adding a player with the ability of Latwan, but definately not holding my breath. Probably WVU or OSU would be my guess. Anyone have any insight on why he didnt sign with WVU? Got scared due to all of their decommits?

Dorsey already take that scholarship? I previously thought that was just a straight up swap. I'm probably wrong though. I usually am.

RR indicated before signing day that we'd sign 26-28 recruits. We were at 26 commits at the time which left room for 2 additions (i.e. Parker and Dorsey if they both wanted to come).

I'm pretty sure Rodriguez said that we could have potentially gone to 29 (back when Knight was still in play). That being said, I agree that if Latwan actually does want to come to Michigan, the coach will (most likely) make room.

Even with all of our commits. And we could up that number to two by withdrawing Kinnard's offer, seeing as he's having trouble qualifying (although that goes into very shady territory, that I don't think we should go into unless we are very sure that Kinnard won't qualify, which isn't the case as I understand it).

Totally agree with MichMike, we would be super young in the secondary but with Dorsey, Robinson, and Anderson somehow in the mix, we would be very exciting and hard-hitting. Plus we would probably have a whole lot of dancing going on

I think I read somewhere that Latwan wants to wear #6 so he can be called "Pick 6". Imagine "No Fly Zone" and "Pick 6" patrolling the secondary. Aww Yeahh.

Adding Latwan would bump us up from great to excellent....
Our secondary would be frightening...absolutely frightening.
It would be a "No Fly Zone" in the truest sense of the word.
Having said that, I'm not holding my breathe.
He would be a great get, especially since we break the Glenville Pipeline
