Latwan Anderson considering Michigan?

Submitted by MaizeRAGE in FLA on
I don't usually facebook stalk but this popped up on my feed.. "...today making my final college desicion[WVU,USC,OSU...uhm surprise UofM]Shock the World..." I'm pretty sure if he meant Miami he'd have said "The U". Either way it could be nothing but it could be something aswell.

I agree a certain amount of confidence is okay, but the fact that OSU held out for so long to offer him, I think there is a solid chance this guy is a cancer. I guess we can all have are own opinion, but personally i don't want Latwan in a winged helmets.

Never, that's why them not offering because of character concerns for a kid at Glenville is all the more concerning. BTW you guys are such whiners, neg banging because I don't want a player? No one can have an opinion that differs from yours.

Not saying you can't have that opinion, and didn't neg you. Just curious how you came to the conclusion that he has a cancerous personality. I haven't done a ton of research on him, but from what I've seen he seems very cocky/confident, and not a whole lot beyond that. You could very well be right, I just don't see OSU waiting to offer him as a huge indicator of his personality, especially since they did eventually offer him.

The fact that he may actually end up at OSU kind of makes my point moot, but the fact that OSU didn't have him at signing speaks volumes. If OSU had wanted this kid earlier they could have. It really doesn't matter, Latwan isn't coming to Michigan annway.

I try to stay away from the gramar police but lately the posts on this site are going to shit. One of my biggest issues in the english language is the use of a double negative........I'm going to have to single neg you for that double neg. Sorry Another big one lately is all the of instead of have....i.e. "I should of gone to bed earlier". Should "of" does not equal should've!!!

Not exactly. You are missing two important elements - First, he is getting negbanged because he thinks he is cocky and, as a result, he doesn't want him at Michigan. This smacks of pompousness and a holier than thou mindset, something perhaps a lot of us are sensitive to, especially lately. Second, an important aspect you overlook that I think many other folks are attuned to here is that recruits read this blog. mrider should be a little more strategic about where and how he states such a strong statement about a recruit that so many of us would love to get. All the negbangs are not just because mrider stated such a strongly negative opinion, they are partly because we want to show whomever is looking that we do not agree with mrider's opinion.

Perhaps he's saying that he doesn't want a reincarnation of Boubacar Cissoko, who waved demonstratively even when opponents made 12-yard completions against him. We were all complaining about that, but since mrider doesn't want to see that kind of stuff again, he's getting neg-banged?

You for one should know that one guy does not make a case - extrapolating from the behavior of one cocky guy to all cocky guys is typically seen here as a fallible approach (see any of many star debates you have taken part in - one person does not prove a point). And see my other points which you still seem to overlook - the extent of his negbang shows the extent of our disagreement. On a different thread, one whose topic was not about a recruit considering Michigan, such a strong but empty opinion wouldn't get this treatment. But he made his strong statement, and so did we.

I negged him for saying that his opinion is based on his perception that Anderson doesn't work hard. There is no reason to call him out for not working hard unless he has a concrete basis for saying so. The same goes for stating that your perception is such. In short, I negged him for being highly judgmental about a high school kid that he (presumedly) does not know without cause.

i'd be surprised if he didn't mean Miami. U of M for Miami is closer that the University of Ohio State is for OSU. Plus, Latwan was seriously considering the U throughout the recruiting process and never really considered us.

We could absolutely use another stud safety. Plus if he was considering WV, then it would seem he would be interested in Michigan by default. We are got all your coaches and pahokee recruits.

...would be awesome. That would allow us to put Dorsey at corner and be okay. Imagine this in a few years: CB: JT Turner CB: Dorsey/Christian SS: Anderson FS: Marvin Or Latwan could play corner and Dorsey could play safety. I would get into man drills early with this crew and find out who's the most natural cover guy and decide that way. Also a lot of ball drills to see who's got the best safety skills. If we add some studs at ILB in the next class, we will be loaded on defense in a couple years. Ahhh, back to normal, thank you.

I have no idea if that lineup would be awesome or not. None of those guys have played, so it's pretty premature to make any conclusions other than hope at this point. I do agree that the potential is awesome, but no one knows how things will turn out with HS kids. The evidence suggests that put of those 5 kids, 2-3 of them will be good, and another couple will not live up to the potential we see in them.
