Per Angelique of the Detroit News:

Jabrill Peppers says he "always expects to play". Says "we'll see" re game. Says stories re his injury have been exaggerated

since getting injured. I think the suspicion and quiet around the situation lends itself more towards not playing but I do see why you'd not announce if he was "out". Florida will have to prep for him either way so it kind of feels like he's won't play but we have nothing to gain by saying so.

I thought this thread was about Peppers. We still don't know what's going on. I would have to say that the way this is going, it's unlikely that he will play.

Is there a long-form story associated with this. Angelique, when Jabrill "says" something to you did he text you? Say it to your face? If you were face to face ... how did his injured hand look?

I think we're left to guess that Jabrill is probably not playing. If he was playing he would just "say" he's playing. The game is two days out.

nobody does this weird Houdini act if they're healthy and playing or not in trouble and playing. Why would UM hide their best player before a bowl game unless they had reasons having nothing to do with football? I'd be surprised if he plays. I wouldn't be surprised if it had more to do with discipline than health.

I will say, whatever happens ultimately, it would at least be amusing to see him trot out there on some random play during the game just to see if McElwain bet on him perhaps not playing and if he therefore does his Dantonio impersonation, gesticulating wildly for a timeout. I suppose we shall see, as he said, because the definitive answer seems like it isn't coming soon.
