Rivals is reporting that David Reese and his Dad sat down with Harbaugh today at Schembechler Hall and he will play linebacker at Michigan.  They are trying to work thru some small issues so that Reese will be able to enroll in January at Michigan.  His Dad put the chances his son enrolls at Michigan at 99.9%.

I am unable to evaluate film on football players (a man must know his limitations), but I would say a solid in-state middle LB is a plus!

He seems to have decent offers in Pittsburgh and Louisville. Bobby Petrino is a great offensive coach even if he is a bit of a scumbag. Not a guy with offers from Ohio State, PSU, or Alabama but a good under the radar guy.

If Caleb Kelly, Dontavious Jackson, Jonathan Jones, and Devin Bush Jr. want to commit this weekend, we will still take Reese as a LB in my opinion. About a month ago, Reese set up a 2 part workout in front of our coaches to prove he could play LB in college. After the morning session, the coaches told him they had seen enough and he didn't need to do the afternoon session. We were going to take a large LB class in this cycle to establish future depth. Bolden and Ross graduate after 2015 which leaves us with Ben Gedeon, Mike McCray, and a few DE/OLB hybrids like Lawrence Marshall, Shelton Johnson, and Reuben Jones. Winovich was moved to TE.

Brandon Brown is on the staff of The Wolverine, not MGoBlog. And he rarely posts on this website anymore. Regardless, if you're going to post every tidbit from a premium message board, you should at least provide a link.

I never said he was a MGoBlog staffer.  My original message stated that it was reported by Rivals.  It was not on the premium board, but can be viewed on the premium board as he posted there as well.  You would need membership to The Wolverine to view the article, that's why I did not post the link.   Didn't know that was an issue.

I do like his film at LB more than Hardings.  Let him start at LB.  If he can't see the field there he might be willing to switch.  If he can see the field there, that means he was a good pickup.

His film did anyway, supposedly he's really worked hard over the summer and improved his speed and footwork, but that's always easier said and done in camps than it is on gameday.

Either way, I think he's a solid piece of the class. I like him more as a FB, but as an in-state kid that has potential to turn into a good LB on top of that, I think he's a good take and am glad he looks like he'll be headed to Michigan.
