Let's be honest...there's only one topic. It's all just variations on it.

You want Brady Fucking Hoke to be the next coach, and we should all listen to you?  Give me a break.  Michigan needs a "name" coach right now, and Les Miles is that coach.  Has he done some shit we'd rather he hadn't?  Yes, but that's the game these days.  We could spend eternity screaming about un-punished  NCAA violations or under-punished NCAA violations, but at the end of the day, the teams with violations are the same ones winning championships.  There are no moral imperatives against many of the NCAA rules (though I can think of some against things Miles has allegedly done), so if the NCAA is willing to overlook O$U's two hundred violations each year, who cares if Michigan has a few?

Les Miles isn't very discreet, it seems pretty clear watching his post game question dodging that he wants to come here.  I'm really not to thrilled about it, his success really seems like a mystery to me, I guess he can recruit but I don't understand it.  Any help?

But for years, LSU coaches couldn't lock down their state, and the talent went elsewhere.  Think Anthony Thomas, Chris Howard, James Hall, Ron Bellamy, et al.  Fred Jackson has been our go-to guy for Louisiana kids, but now we could have some others on staff.

He has good coaches around him, and like you said, he gets ball players. He won at Ok State, a place not nearly as established as LSU, so I'd trust him.

I'm still not sure about the oversigning. I'd give him a second chance if he admitted that it was wrong or at least addressed it to some point. We all know that won't happen, though. I suspect DB brought/brings it up at one point, in private with Les (if he's the coach, of course).

But when he was on the field after the trophy presentation, he kept talking about how LSU was basically the best place the be. The education the kids get, everything seemed to be direct shots at staying at LSU and why would he consider any place else. The only thing more he could have said was, LSU > Michigan for these kids and me.

So I don't think he's coming back to Michigan anytime soon.

BTW - where is everyone hearing these Les Miles rumors, I can't find anything with any substance on that.

The other story is that LSU's preferred replacement for Miles, apparently, is Bo Pelini.  Landing a solid coach for Michigan and weakening Nebraska right as they join our division?  Two birds with one stone.

MIles is a top notch coach, a sweet recruiter, and his players love him.  People think he was a bit shady in the SEC but what coach in that conference isnt shady?  I think that he will clean up UM, bring back respect, defense, and the fear that opp once felt when they played Michigan.  He wont be here for the 15 years that we wanted JH to be, but I believe that he'll have enough time to groom a successor worthy of the position.   I just hope that the Lloyd/Brady Hoke camp doesnt do anything to sabotoge this like last time.  Go blue,

Can't recruit without a coach!  All recruiting visits were cancelled for this weekend.  Maybe he's talking about the All American Game, but then why the in DB we trust?  I DO think we're going to pick up Kris Frost at the very least, though, FWIW.

Lol who would have known from Toledo Ohio this news could be brought to me at 9 pm Thursday. Way before this mediastorm is going spiral outta controll. Riker Products was the reason we knew so shoutout to them.

That this was DB's plan all along? He played everything so close to the vest it's hard to say what he was thinking. Rumors swirled that obviously UM was interested in JH, but other than John Clayton saying we offered JH $5.2 mil, I haven't seen anything that said we even contacted him. Also, common perception was that Hoke was DB's guy. If that was true, then why isn't he HC? Even though I'll be very happy with the hire, if any of this speculation is true, I can't say I'm thrilled with the process.

But the timeline leaves me scratching my head. Based on how soon after the Cotton Bowl we heard the news, one can assume that DB and LM have been in talks since before the Gator Bowl. Meaning, the result of that game probably factored very little in the decision regarding RR. If that's the case, then why wasn't some sort of move made post OSU, pre Gator debacle. Some sign of competency that wouldn't have cost us further embarrassment and nearly four weeks of recruiting. I'm not saying Les couldn't have coached LSU in the cotton bowl, but maybe the announcement of his hire at Michigan could have saved some face.
<br>Sorry, it's late, this whole thing has me resorting to paragraphs of random streaming consciousness, and for that I apologize.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the Michigan plane that flew to Baton Rouge was to meet Les after the bowl game to take him back to AA?  People seemed so focused on the fact that the plane flew to Baton Rouge when Les was in Texas.  Well, Les will be back in Baton Rouge very shortly....
