Heavily dependent on an all-star QB who racks up huge numbers against easy teams, the QB gets hyped to the moon suddenly, then they run into a good defense and the offense completely collapses

I will say, there's a lot of gsme. Don't completely jump off Arizona yet...yes the defense is, maybe as expexted, but let's see if Tate can regain that magic in the 2nd half. Still only a 2 possession game as we speak even tbough it feels like a 28pt lead As I type this they fucking squib kick and in 1 play SC IS across midfield. Fuck me

B1G and ACC should have all noon games

Big12 and SEC all 3:30 games

Pac12 and Mtn. West all with 8:00 games.

I want to finish watching Arizona but I am about to fall asleep. Also, this ref has a very annoying voice

Looks like the same old RichRod.  He puts his best athletes on offense, leaving his defense to be a hot mess . . . and then the offense has to play flawlessly to keep pace with other team.  I've had my fill of that approach.

The current QB Khalil Tate looked at times amazing - reminded me seriously of Denard Robinson with his quick acceleration.

But the defense was bad - a not that great USC team once they focused ran and passed their way right down the field.

While watching the game, the question popped up: why this type of offense can't co-exist on the same team as a Don Brown defense?

The possible answers were (1) not recruiting for defense (so as you noted, the best athletes are on offense - sort of a high school/middle school approach), (2) that style of offense has a lot of potential 3 and outs and that can put your defense on the field a lot so if your team lacks defensive talent AND depth, it will be a long game.

RR is a perfect example of of coach who should have stayed at where he was having success.  He really had it going at WV.

Same with the guy who left Colorado State to go to Florida.  With the 85 scholarship limits you can build a really good team just about anywhere.
