In an effort to forget this mess I am going to down several Irish Car Bombs and watch Rich Rodriguez attempt to go 4-0.
yes plz
...a two-time AZ alum: "...but Rich Rod will turn it around"
lulz at "0-3 in the redzone, I've already watched this game". Go Wildcats though...I love me some 3-3-5!!!
I can't wait until Michigan runs roughshod over the B1G, doesn't lose another game in the regular season, blasts Wisconsin or PSU in the championship game, and then goes to the Rose Bowl where Oregon throws them into the sun.
You do know that Penn St. Can't be in the Big Ten Title Game right? They can win their division but can't play in the title game.
DO you have any idea how drunk I am? In all honesty, I kinda meant Purdue, but that might be equally as dumb.
You do realize that PSU can't go to the championship game, right?
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
I'm right there with you. And I won't lie I will convince myself we can stop Oregon and/or score with them when we do get there
Oh you know, just a typical Michigan fan that goes to Central
How is Arizona this good? There's no way he has better players there than he did here. Bizarre.
"Michigan Defense" is dominating everything, in every aspect of life. That's a rough definition.

Matt Scott is a good fit at QB. He brought Casteel with him this time around and Stoops brought in some decent talent until the wheels fell off. It's not dealing with late Carr era holdovers and he probably got guys eager for a fresh start rather than sullen about a coaching change, put it all together and you have a decent first year.
Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought. It always defeats order because it is better organized.
Maybe RR isn't as bad a coach as people thought. But then he has a competent DC with him too.
Confession: Currently watching Ariz. and wondering what if...Anyone else?
To Hell with Notre Dame
Maybe the offense plays better. Maybe. But holding a team to 13 points? No way.
I guess what I'm saying is that the "what if" cuts both ways.
I never stopped wondering. What if half the alumni didn't try and kill the Rodriguez thing from the get go. Don't try and tell me Zona has better talent then the Michigan team he started with.
I don't know about the overall team, but Matt Scott is a much better QB than Steven Threet or Nick Sheridan. We know from experience that Rodriguez's system needs a playmaking QB. Put a game-manager type in there and it'll go nowhere.
..that would never happen at M. And the lower expectations will give him breathing room. UA is a good fit for him. Heard him on Rome this week..all class. Sounds like he's moved on. Hopefully others here will too.

But this was a REALLY bad game for people to be dreaming about Arizona's offense or defense.

DeAnthony Thomas is getting smacked around tonight.
Go Blue!
Oh how i wish Casteel woulda came, or if RR woulda done a Fickel. Took a demotion to OC.
Agree on all acounts...

I love Rich Rodriguez. I'm happy to see him do well out West. Go Wildcats.
Michigan will bounce back. BIG schedule is just now underway. Just look at what Hoke/Mattison/Montgomery did with Q. Washington. I understand the frustration with the TO's but guys: Washington was an o-lineman. He just converted not too long ago. We held a decent offense to 13 pts after comitting 6 turnovers with 18 year old's at 2 LB positions and safety.
No established head coach like Rich Rodriguez, in the middle of his career, is ever going to do what Fickell did. That's not a realistic expectation.
Anyhow, Borges's offense produced almost exactly the same PPG in 2011 as Rodriguez's did in 2010, so I don't see the issue. I think they're both good offensive minds.
Is it me or do the Arizona DBs fill fast and hit hard?
The 3-3-5 is getting defenders free in space, at least to my imperfect perception.
Abort, Retry, Fail?
A Rich Rod team playing defense?

Here is what I don't get. The guy that runs this site watches more game tape than any amateur fan in the country. This same guy says the best offense he can concieve of is RR's. So...why are we hating on RR? Its' not his philosophy. Is it because how he was treated? Because he couldn't grab his D-coordinator? I just don't get it.
RR is doing his thing,
Hoke is doing his thing.
Why hate on either guy?
I think Brian actually said the ideal offense he can think of is Oregon's, which isn't exactly the same as Rich Rod's (Oregon does not use its QB as a primary rushing threat and has a more diverse downfield game) - though it certainly draws a lot of inspiration from ideas he pioneered.
He did say Oregon: Lets get that on the record. I do think Chip Kelly is different only because he was able to recruit better. So everything you put in parenthesis is true, but I think RR would evolve to that if he could. But at WVU and Michigan he never had the opportunity.
You guys can downvote me all you want. Don't really care. I'd rather have RR calling the plays then Borges. And i've thought this way before this game.
Well no one had a problem w/ RichRods Offense...So can't say I disagree with you on that. We all love Borges, but its pretty clear he is the weak link. Single handedly lost us both Iowa and MSU last year. I wont blame him for tonight though

single handedly lost us both Iowa and MSU last year.
So it's all on the coach, and not at all on any of the players (including the QB)? I love Denard but he can't always get a free pass when he consistently struggles against teams with good front sevens.
That isn't exactly impressive.
"The Ruhr will not be subjected to a single bomb. If an enemy bomber reaches the Ruhr, my name is not Hermann Göring: you can call me Urban Meyer!"
Zero points not impressive, but holding Oregon to 13 points in the first half...Very impressive

Go Arizona lose by less than 21

The Oregon QB and RB couldn't agree on the read!
Abort, Retry, Fail?
But maybe the first time I've ever seen them both keep it. And score a touchdown.

That was the greatest read option TD ever
I think I already watched this game.
