Late afternoon/evening games Open Thread

Submitted by Avant's Hands on

Couple of afternoon games are still finishing up and then two of our rivals play what should be interesting games this evening. In Knoxville, Tennessee has just tied Georgia 24-24 in the 4th. And Okie St. just jumped back in front of Kansas St by 1 late in the game.

Here's something I don't understand. Why doesn't the booth ever call down a review on spots? Especially if it is a fourth down what is the harm of looking at it? Why does it always have to be a challenge?

I don't know what they'll be able to deduce from a review on the spot.  It sure looked like he got closer, but who knows if it was a first.

How has the NCAA not mandated sideline cameras from both sides?  Was that really the best angle we could get on the spot?  Unreal.

Well, I turned the game off and changed my attention to the WA/Stanford game. Good game, but I'm sure most of us knew Ohio would win this game.

I have hated the QB sneak since the first time I saw it.  Their run game has been getting yards in chunks all night and then they switch the plan entirely when they really need a yard?  Why?  There's no momentum going forward, especially against an opposing line that is flat out bigger and better than yours.

Looks like the cooler poopers lucked their way into another victory they didn't earn. More Schadenfreude when we pull off the upset next month, then.
