3 or 4 way B1G tie!

3 or 4 way B1G tie!
Nebraska got smoked by Wisconsin, but then beat down MSU who had beaten Wisconsin. MSU got smoked by ND but then beat us (a team that beat the Irish). Home field advantage seems to be huge as well. Glad we get the Huskers in the Big House and hopefully we can take care of business against everybody else.
LSU and Bama are better than any team in the B1G. Buuuut, The top half of the B1G is better than the top half of the SEC this year.
Yeah, I don't think the top half of the Big 10 could play with the top half of the SEC this year.
LSU - Wisconsin
Alabama - Nebraska
Arkansas - MSU
South Carolina - Michigan
Georgia - Penn State
Florida - Illinois
I see 5+ losses for the Big 10 there. Strangely enough, I see MSU having the best shot of the group, but they'd still be in trouble facing Arkansas.
South Carolina has serious trouble without their projected starting qb and taiblacks out. Georgia could not score on Penn State. I would trade iowa with illinois and chalk it up as a victory.
I forgot about Lattimore being out.
However, Penn State couldn't score on Georgia either. The final might be 6-4, but if PSU can't score on Illinois, they're not scoring against anyone good. Also, Iowa isn't any good either. Evidence: tie game with Minnesota in the 2nd quarter (even though Iowa has like a 250-100 yardage advantage).
I'd love to think otherwise, but recent history shows the Big 10 getting strangled against average or better SEC teams.
I hear you on the recent history as in last year but remember what happened in 2009. Gig Ten did really well in the bowl games. Remember for all of our doormats the sec has vandy, kentucky, tenesee, ole miss, msu (yeah I remember last january)
Final nail in the coffin for MSU. God I wish wisky had beaten them
So glad MSU lost. MSU has now lost both times they've gone to opponent stadiums - ND and Nebraska - and won against both of the decent oppenents they've played at home - Wiscy and us (F*&^ you, Chris Jones).
It's too bad Wisconsin had to play MSU at Spartan Stadium twice in a row and we had to play in a trash tornado.
They did beat Ohio State on the road.
Just to keep tabs on the early games still finishing...
Vandy fumbled as they were about to go into the endzone and go up by 15. Arkansas returned it for the score and 2 point conversion. Vandy has successfully blown a 15 point lead now.
A&M showing that they can still blow second half leads with the best of them, though. Mizzou has scored 14 straight in the 4th to take a 3 point lead, but A&M is driving.
3 points Sparty? Why couldn't we play them at home this year? Urban and Chris declaring Wisky still the best team in the B1G. Don't think that is debatable, really.
AR-kansas just put a FG on the board and lead by 3 now. 31-28
Dumb penalty by Mizzou negated a fourth down conversion. A&M has the ball near midfield with a minute left in a tie game.
Edit: A&M fumble. Now Mizzou ball at midfield.
did anyone catch the all spartans and huskers together at midfield after the game? Looked like a Nebraska coach was speaking to both teams as they all kneeled and bowed their heads.
Any idea what thats all about?
Pretty common in the NFL
Sparty got stomped in this game. Me likes it.
I honestly think that MSU was a hiccup for the team and the coaches. As long as the Oline can heal-up a bit we will have a good chance of winning every game we play from here on out. The play of the defense is the most encouraging thing so far along with Fitz running the ball well.
It's going to be ugly as hell, but with this snow I think I'll be watching PSU-Illinois.
Though it would have been ugly without the snow as well.
Mizzou punter misses a 46 yard field goal as time expires. OT in the Big XII.
Also, Vandy is close to the red zone, down 3 with less than 2 minutes left. This could finally be the week Arkansas gets burned.
Vandy kicker just shanked a 27 yd FG...feel bad for the kid, but he kicked it dead right of the posts.
LOL....A&M sucks it up again. What a way to go out in the big xii
We have found the real Gibbons and he plays in Nashville. Vandy misses a short field goal at the end of the game to lose.
Mizzou stopped A&M in OT to get the 7 point win in a future SEC match-up.
MSU loses @ Iowa, wins the rest. We lose to either Illinois or OSU but win the rest. Nebraska loses to us but wins the rest. We go to championship due to division losses and then head-to-head with Nebraska.
Florida and Navy both have missed field goals already.
I'm enjoying the snow storm in Happy Valley.
Oklahoma already up 7. Methinks that game will get ugly.
LOL. Penn St. kicker just Gibbonzed (2010) a FG attempt.
ND TD. Gray run.
Oklahoma up 14-0 now and Okie St. up 7-0.
PSU fumble gave Illinois good field position, but they have been completely stone walled by the PSU defense. Man they are nasty.
How great is it to watch some other team who knows they can't kick field goals? Florida has an injured kicker and has already missed one field goal, so they went for and got 4th and 19 and are up 7-0 now. Sad, UGA.
PSU games are a difficult watch.
Minnesota keeping it close? Iowa just missed a chip shot.
Yeah I'm watching this one to size up the hawkeyes a bit ... No points against the lowly gophers in the first quarter! Not a bad sign. I'd love to put a stomping on iowa next weekend (I'll be there in kinnick stadium wearing my maize & blue!)
1st score wins in Happy Valley today. Been a painful game to watch.
It might be one of those 3-6 or 0-3 victories.
Anyone remember that 6-4 game a few years ago when PSU beat Iowa? One of my favorite ugly games ever. Anyway, no one has scored in Happy Valley, obviously.
ND is up 14-0, but just fumbled a backward pass. Originally ruled incomplete but then overruled on review...I won't get started.
Kansas St. making a push, only down 10-14 now. OSU up 21-0 on Baylor.
Is anyone watching Iowa? Are they trying? Are they playing with one arm tied behind their back?
Minnesoter is playing tough, good to see the Gophers keep fighting for coach Kill
no score with 10 to go in the half
Touchdown Navy. 14-7 Notre Dame.
Marcus Coker has 174 yards on 15 carries. Iowa still has no points. They really need to just hand it off to him.
K-State rolls off 17 unanswered to go up 17-14. Bill Snyder is back to being Bill Snyder...which means they will lose a bad one later this season for sure.
And Iowa, its about time.
HA...Mark Richt just cant beat florida no matter who is the coach. he cant have much time left at Georgia.
Just turned on the psu/illinois game and the back up qb for illinois is in. Anyone know what why?
The most awful game of the year. Teams combine for 2 for 17 on third downs and only 8 first downs in the game. Zooker gives up three points for a feeble fake attempt (with Dimke, a kicker with a perfect record!). Fool, in this game 3 points could win it!
Not if you like defensive battles.
/agreed with you its a yawner
Did he say it was an intentional fake? I thought he just bobbled the snap with the wet ball.
Field goal miscues have become an epidemic this afternoon. K St. missed a field goal that would have tied the game. Then again Florida just fumbled the ball right back.
Georgia just missed a field goal, but they look inept anyway. 17-3 UF.
Illinois-PSU is becoming an epic game of futility. Illinois had a TD taken back due to penalty and then fumbled the field goal snap before the snap. First team to 2 will win that game. I feel like Ron Zook could trademark the term derp.
Navy is not good. 35-7 ND last I checked.
OSU, on the other hand, is for real and is murdering a pretty decent Baylor team.
For anyone interested, BC could win their first I-A game today. Up 21-3 on Maryland in a game full of mud that is being watched by at least 200 people.
Couple of long FGs in that KSU-OU game though. OU 53 yarder to end the half, and KSU had a long one earlier. Big difference with and against the wind
Clearly the wrong call on the interception but Zook didn't call time out and PSU snapped it before the booth called for a second look. I'll miss him.
Did not know where to put this, but this along with the information on Kelly in 3 & Out makes him seem like a jerk.
Minnesota hit double digits. 14-10 Iowa.
Army Fordham snow on CBS sports is amazing
Florida Georgia tied
If Penn State wins how can Paterno get credit for it? He has been placed in the coach's box without headphones. His glasses are off and he has no idea what game he is watching.
I'm 70% sure he knows he's watching Penn St at Happy Valley right now. Now, if he can name the team PSU is playing, I'd be mildly surprised.

Gophers td. Missed a 2 point conversion. 21-16 with 8:22 left
This is four down territory for Penn St, right? It's not like they're getting three field goals in the next 10 minutes.
The Baylor team reminds me of Michigan the past three years.
Holy shit. Minnesota looks like a team possessed after a ridiculously well executed onside kick down 21-16.
This is an old school game......or both teams have an offense that would have to die to improve.
Who would have thought that Iowa-Minnesota would be the game I'd be dying to watch right now?
False start. Damn
This game has moved me. C'mon one time!
Iowa really doesn't like playing at the new gopherhole.
Touchdown Minnesota on a boot by grey on fourth down. Waiting for the two point conv
a ton of credit. I hope they pull this one out.
GopherQuest in critical condition.
Ha. I don't believe what I just saw. I Don't believe what I just saw.
One thing I took from Minnesota's td is that they have attractive water girls.
There are actually quite a few good looking girls there.
punted to PSU with 15 seconds left on the play clock. PSU says thanks for the extra time Zook.
as PSU marched right down the field 80 yards.
two officials' flags hit the ground for a PI call against Illinois...almost before the incomplete pass hit the ground.
It is really, really great to see Minnesota play with this much passion out there today. They are soooo fired up and the crowd is boosting them up. They deserve a win. I just hope a loss doesn't piss Iowa off too much so they play out of their minds next week against us.
We're Michigan. They're going to play out of their minds regardless.
Or best-case scenario Iowa is deflated after this loss and Minnesota plays out of their minds next week against msu.

look like they're for real.
LOL I CANNOT believe IOWA lost to MInnesota
Happy for Minnesota. Kirk Ferentz seems like a nice enough guy. Let's get another W next week.
Their kids played hard and deserved this one.
and that's just with the ON-field performance...Kill's health has cast a cloud over them too. With that in mind, they get a huge come-from-behind win today as an underdog, over a rival.
Yeah, it was rush-worthy.
Minnesota has had a tough year so far, and they pulled off an improbable win. This was a rivalry game for them, and they get to keep the Floyd of Rosedale trophy for another year. Let them feel good about their football team.
42 Yd FG coming up for Illinois to tie it. Last play of the game.
How awesome would it be if this game went 7OT and ended 60-58?
Illinois clanged the tying 42-yard field goal off the upright. 10-7 the final.
Penn St might be the worst 8-1 team I can remember seeing.
all hail JoePa
I'm glad Coach Kill finally got a win at Minny.
that is the BCS top 25
We should jump Kansas State, MSU, and Texas A &M because they lost.
We might jump Arkansas and V Tech because they performed poorly versus bad competition.
Rooting for Soth Carolina to lose.
Update: PSU won as Illinois misses tying FG.
Or is Wiscy that bad? They looked good tonight, I have to say. Iowa and Illinois, not so much.
