Did anyone see the horrible rule in football during the nebraska game?  Dude fumbled a backwards pass out of bounds on a 4th and 1.  The ball was fumbled out of bounds ahead of him, past the first down marker, and the rule says first down to Passing Team.

Yeah, correct call, terrible rule. Let's install a play where we have the QB pitch it back and the RB bats it forward and out of bounds for 30 yards.

I'm not solid on my college FB rules, but I think in the high school game this is considered "illegal batting" and is a loss of down penalty. I didn't see the play in question, but I'm 99% sure that there are rules covering this situation. I'm assuming this was a legit fumble and not really a "bat."

I was at the game and it transpired as you indicated.  It was a bit of a fake trip followed by an underhanded heave to the nearest sideline to stop the clock.  Corso was livid but the refs allowed it and the AC TD happened next, along with the correspondingly awesome Ufer call.

That was quite the hard hitting reporting from Tracy Wolfson there, talking about how much Lutzenkirchen of Auburn loves Disney and his Halloween costumes.

LSU is so deep in that defensive backfield. I promise you every one in that the 2 deep or even 3 deep could start just about any where in the country. Morris Claiborne is a beast. By far their best pure cover man at CB.

Oregon looking explosive as always, despite their stuggles against SEC elite I still think they're one of the beat teams in the country. Would love to see them play Oklahoma State or Arkansas

GT muffs a punt in a crowd, it rolls into the endzone, and Miami jumps on it.  14-0 Miami.

GT just keeps finding ways to shoot itself in the foot.  Two weeks in a row.

LSU has one of the best looking fields in football. The numbering is unique, end zones are bold but clean looking, and the tiger eye in the middle of the field is downright badass. That thing is on grass too, so it's done weekly.

How did they miss the Russel Sheppard TD for LSU? The guy was standing right there and he was 4 feet in the end zone when his knee hit. The goal line extends out of bounds so it doesn't matter if the ball crossed out of the field of play or not as the announcers spent 5 minutes discussing. Holy amateur hour.

God I hate beating this dead horse, but the announcers in the Miami game just discussed what Golden told them re: suspending his player for the punch.  "I've never been more livid.  That's just cowardly.   If that was 2 or 3 years down the road when we had established our culture and values here, I don't think Regis (the player) would be in the program anymore."

Contrast that with Dantonio.  Ridiculous.
