Just kidding, thanks for that, it's interesting. Hopefully he puts up another 610 yards along with...however many points that usually equates to. And Mattison does his thing.

just like every half way decent team they face does.

Cool.

I would gladly trade a loss to Nebraska for a win over That School in Ohio.

Punchy.

It's not that bold.

Always makes me smile when people prove how pathetic their lives are with so much time on their hands to troll opponent message boards...come on now

I never got to see that game or our 9th straight win over JoePa that day because of a wedding. (Why must people schedule weddings during the Fall?)
It's interesting that Ball State almost pulled the upset but Nebraska was really bad that year. And their defense was epic bad. Like 2010 Michigan defense bad.

I wonder if we have ever won 8 home games in a year. We won 7 in 97 and 06.
November 14th, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
1902 we won 8 home games

If we had 8 home wins after that I have no idea

70 plus points in back to back weeks by an opponent and then Nebraska?! That's scary.

Interesting that Cosgrove actually replaced Bo Pelini as Husker DC in 2004. Solich was fired after 10-3 finish in favor of Callahan and I guess Pelini got out of Dodge, bound for LSU.
Cosgrove was coming from a 7-6 Wisconsin squad (under Barry Alvarez). Geesh!

Wasn't that the year Nebraska lost a game despite scoring 51 points?
There are some striking parallels between the recent pasts of Nebraska and Michigan.

I now have even more confidence that we can compete against Nebraska after reading the OP. We have dilithium, damnit.

I remember watching highlights from that game. It was too bad ball state couldn't pull the upset
November 15th, 2011 at 9:49 AM ^
since it was the Callahan era, other than the fact that Nebraska of course had more physical talent than BSU.
