Posted earlier on the "worst weekend" thread.
I was at the Michigan Hockey game in Anchorage last night. Thought MGOBLOG might consider this non-expert recap.
Michigan dominated in all areas except the one that counts-- the score.
We out shot UAF 23-12 (about 10-3 in the 1st period), but our shots were easy saves. I'm not positve but, we may even have out shot them on their power plays. I think I could have made most of the stops, as Michigan continually flipped the puck into the body of the goalie.
Hopefully we can chalk the loss up to jet lag after the ong trip to Alaska, but they didn't seem lethargic. Michigan was aggressive getting to the puck and maintaining possession throughout the game. Passing was fair.
We've got to find the net and not the goalie pads.
