Las Vegas UM Bars

Submitted by 1989 UM GRAD on

I realize that this issue is addressed above but the bars listed conflict with what is listed on the UM Club of Las Vegas Facebook page.

Can someone in Las Vegas verify where U of M folks gather for the games?

(yes I know there are hundreds of sports books and sports bars but I'd rather be with "our people" for the game tomorrow.)

Thanks.

I will be there all week as well - I unfortunately do not arrive until Saturday evening and will miss the game against Texas.  Hopefully Blue takes care of business and I can enjoy them next week.

Go to Legasse's Stadium. Watched the NBA Finals there last year. Although you probably would have to have reservations by now.

Putters on 215 and Rainbow is really good Michigan bar.  I watched the National Championship Game there last year and a couple of football games there this fall.  There are usually a lot of Michigan fans, and the local alumni association is meeting there for the tournament.

If you're in Henderson, Kopper Keg on St. Rose is a good option too.

I live in Henderson but I'm actually having a BBQ tomorrow and bringing the tv outside to watch the game, haha. Throwing ladderball, drinking beers, hanging out!

I've been to the InnZone which is a cool M bar. I currently go to Lagasses which is probably the best sports bar in town but is not a M bar. You can reserve a table/section or a room ( they have 3 or 4 private rooms) if you have sone friends with you.

This is my first year I have not been in Vegas this week since 2006. Everytime I've been Vegas and there's been a Michigan game on (football or basketball), I've watched at the Espn Zone at NYNY (I think it's known as "Sporting House" or something now). Not a Michigan place and of course its pure tourists since it's on the strip, but there's always been plenty of other Michigan fans there. If you can't find a better option or if you don't want to leave the strip, it might be a decent place to go. Or just go to a Sportsbook, they get fun and rowdy this time of year.

I used to love going to a little Italian restaurant across from MGM.  I think it was called Hole in the Wall.  They had a little old Italian man playing violin and going from table to table asking for request.  I always asked for Hail to the Victors and he would play it.  You haven't lived until you have heard The Victors played on the violin.
