I love this...for some reason James Harrison gets all the hype and accolades, not saying he isn't a good football player but Woodley is monster in his own right and deserves more good press about it. I'm not sure the exact numbers but his sack total for the playoffs alone during his short career should get him more love. can we get this guy a proper deal??? Come on Rooney!!... and Go Blue!!!!

The thing that stood out to me here is that I didn't even know Woodley's contract was up and he was only getting paid 550k this year. That's obviously a lot of cake, but how many guys with his production would be holding out, demanding a new deal, and making a big fuss about it in the press? I never heard a peep out of him all year. Take note, Darrell Revis. Woodley's a class act all the way.

exactly.

"If I'm going into this season worried about my contract, I'm not focusing on going to the Super Bowl and I'm not focused on this team," Woodley explained. "I would be selfish to think about myself and this contract situation and not focus on this team. I got guys on this team counting on me to play my best, and I'm not going to let them down."

That's Pure Michigan.

Neither is my team but, I'll be cheering for the Packers so Woodson can get his ring. I believe he'd be the first player ever to win the Heisman, National Championship, Rookie of the year, Defensive player of the year and (hopefully) Super Bowl Champion.

6-2  and 265 lbs

265 !!!!!!    thank god for hoke and mattison, who will bring back the big LB and not the 210 lb guys.     this is indicative of getting willingham who is at 240 and svelte. he can put on more weight.

You do realize that Woodley played DE in college right?  And by his senior season Roh will probably be at about that weight too, and also likely playing DE?

And Crable, who is 6-5 like Roh (Woodley is only 6-2) was 245 his senior season.

LaMarr is a bad man with a kick-ass attitude.  See this....

"If they thought their tackles did a great job [in the regular season], well, let's see if your tackles do a great job when it really counts. And it seems like when it really counts, we’re going to show up."

Seems like the attitude our D-line needs to re-capture.

Well, not directly...but watching him on TV when he wore blue did.  My son tried to do everything that Woodley did in a game.  Even now his goal in the weightroom is to get guns like Woodley.  I promised that if he gets guns like that, I'll buy the Wolverine tattoo.

Woodley is the only reason I will watch the superbowl and root for the Steelers.  Woodson is still the best college player I ever saw, but I get much more excited to watch the pure violence and aggression that Woodley brings with his game.
