Lacrosse comes up short vs Delaware, 11-7

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Michigan had another hard fought battle at home, losing by a score of 11-7 for the second straight week. Michigan trailed only 6-4 at halftime. A respectable loss today. For the first time ever, Michigan broke out their GRAY jerseys. Very strange site to see. Next week is their final home game of the 2012 season.

Ahhhh thats what the blue bird was on the scoreboard when I drove by the stadium. Its too nice out in Ann Arbor today not to take a stroll downtown.

Blue with Maize outline. They look okay. Just kind of weird that Michigan is wearing a color of a rival.

They already have one of the most beautiful jerseys in lacrosse in their Maize unis. Don't really understand the gray.

Yep, ohio wears gray as their third jersey.

MDen confirmed with me that they will be selling Maize lacrosse jerseys at the Spring Game next week. They will be about $60. Can't wait, I cannot stress how much I love the looks of those bad boys.

I really wish we had the livestats system that the smaller schools have.

Those things look like shit and aren't fancy by any means, but damnit if they don't get the job done.

Scores from around the conference:

ohio sneaks away with a 10-9 win over hobart on the road. They scored the game winner with 26 seconds left to break the statesmen's hearts.

After being in a dogfight for 3 period on Friday night, #9 denver pulled away in the 4th against a pesky bellarmine team at home winning 16-8.

#4 loyola and #14 fairfield have just started the second half. loyola leads 4-2, in a crucial game in the ECAC. If the greyhounds win, they would control the ECAC with only one threat left on their schedule. A primetime date with denver.

bellarmine makes the short trek to Colorado Springs tomorrow afternoon to play air force to conclude their 2-game trip to the colorado schools. The knights and falcons are both in search of their first conference win on the season.

For the record, Delaware lacrosse does not wear winged helmets.  I'm just as disappointed as you.  Actually I'm not; it means there's only one school that really owns them.  (Princeton doesn't wear winged helmets either.)
