Kyle Kalis: Parade All-American

Submitted by Chi-Blue on

Nice to see Kyle getting some love on a national stage . . .  feels like its been a while since a class has had this much pub.

Also making the list:

Jordan Diamond, and several other former Michigan targets.

It's been an interesting recruiting year.  It seems like when Rodriguez was here, everyone thought "Will such-and-such mediocre recruit get offered?"  Now that Hoke is here and seems to be going after better talent nationally (and not just in Florida), these second- and third-tier recruits aren't even discussed.

Ruben Lile from Cass Tech?  Eh, nobody cared that he's headed to Iowa.  Stephon Hall?  Who's he?  Evan Winston out of Muskegon has barely generated a peep on Michigan message boards.

I don't think there's any question that Hoke's approach to recruit has changed Michigan fans' attitudes.

My biggest question with Hoke coming is was whether he had the name and ability to recruit top talent and he's clearly answered that question.  He's also exceeded my expectations in terms of offensive philosophy such that we did not return to Lloydball as I was worried we might.

Pretty sure it should be Prescott Line, not Lane. Stinks for the kid that they couldn't get his name right. His brother was a bit of a miss for Rodriguez. Would be the big back that Hopkins hasn't been. I can't help but wonder if the younger brother will be another one that should've gotten a better look.

but looks like that's actually a rough draft as they left out Darboh at WR, Bolden, RJS and Ross at LB, Magnuson/Pipkens for lineman, and Richardson and Wilson as DB's.

I cant start a topic, but since this is about lineman, I figured that I'd put it here... I'm interviewing for a medical residency position at Stanford today and just walked past Josh Garnett on his tour of the medical school and hospital. I have him a quiet "Go blue" and got a big grin from him and his father... I know.... "Cool Story Bro"...
