Bucknuts are going crazy about how glad they are that they didn't get Kalis and his bad attitude.  Ummm.....300lb guards with bad attitudes?  Yes, please.  Interestingly, they mentioned that Dunn was getting threats from Michigan fans.  I never saw any comment approaching a threat from this board or the others I generally read.

First of all, when people truly don't want a commit because of a bad attitude, it's not because they're saying that they want to rip someone's head off or smash their opponent or make them bleed.  When people knock a recruit for having a bad attitude it's because he doesn't respect authority (his coaches, teachers, parents, etc.), is getting in fights, is getting into trouble, has a poor work ethic, that sort of thing.

I promise you no OSU fan would have a problem with their OL saying they're gonna play so hard they hurt the guy lining up across from him.  Football players say that all the time.  What did they expect him to say?  That he plans to block averagely hard only until the whistle blows and then compliment his opponent on their effort?

I'm not surprised by some of the responses from Ohio fans, but of course if it was their commit talking about UM, they'd love it. All-in-all, he seems like a bright kid who's enjoying the process. I can easily see him becoming a leader on and off the field. His attitude reminds me of Lewan. I feel for Ohio's donkeys for the next 4 years. Actually, nah.

Great work!

I think this was said in the other thread, but I'm sad Molk won't be there for him, even for just a year. Molk would be invaluable on the field, but I think he'd actually give better tips for when it comes to interviews. One of my favorite characteristics of Molk was his ability to give a great interview. Kalis may be that next guy. In any event, I CAN'T WAIT for him to get on campus... like Bart Scott CAN'T WAIT

This class has a bunch of guys who have swagger-that perfect intersection of talent , confidence and high expectations mixed with a dash a humility necessary that they have to work hard to achieve their goals. Plus, kudos to Hoke and team for attracting that type of guy. Add in the media savvy of these guys-are there two guys better than Kalis and Pipkins?-this is going to be a fun ride

As a guy that grew up in Michigan and now lives in Chicago, I see Kalis a similar to a Bill Laimbeer or AJ Pierzynski type.   The kind of guy that you love when he's on your team and can't stand when he's on the other team.   Fiery, bit of an instigator, but guys that are all about winning.   It'll be great to see him on the field.

a new segment on 97.1 The Fan's Buckeye Show - Neft ranted and raved for 15 minutes at the start of the show in the new "Just Keep Talking" segment on Wednesday, Jan. 18, about this interview (and ended up reading most of it on the air, sadly before The Game date got fixed).  Neft shows off his idiocy (he's not sure aquaman's interview is legit, though - hah) in the recording (if it is still available) at http://www.971thefan.com/content/sections/podcasts/index.html

Really sounds like a great kid; here's hoping that among his oher gold-pooping skills, Hoke has a touch for culling quality young men like this out of the masses.

"I promise you no OSU fan would have a problem with their OL saying they're gonna play so hard they hurt the guy lining up across from him."

Or thier QB saying: “I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever."
