KSU didnt rush the court

Submitted by The Impaler on
That's what I am talking about. KSU has been good, but not great and they held off rushing the court after beating #1. Haha I can't believe kids at KSU have more self-restraint than UM kids. Or maybe they are just more intelligent fans.

I think i am going to still side with KSU fans for three reasons other than they dont rush the court: (1) They don't jingle their keys on third down (2) They packed that place full of students (3) Everyone wore purple (I have never seen a maize out completed by the entire crowd in either the football stadium or bball arena) I love Michigan unconditonally, but even I am not in denial that our fans are not the best. Its a reality. I am not saying it can't change, but it's still not there. I am sorry if I offend many of you. It seems that you have all been taking this very hard. I just look at the facts. You all should start doing the same.

Fair enough Lupe, I guess I am just caught off guard by his idiocy, and his apparent want to say anything negative he can. It seems like he is trying to get a negative response from us, and thus I concluded he was undercover.

First of all, thank you MadtownMaize for mindlessly bringing penis-size humor into the thread; God knows it was necessary and relevant. Secondly, as Michigan fans, maybe instead of neg-banging everyone who tells us something we don't like, we should take to heart what's being said. Lately, we really have acted like a fickle fan base. In football we've been spoiled and cannot deal with adversity (not that we could when we were good- 2007 Oregon game, the crowd applauded Chad Henne injuring his shoulder), and in basketball we are so starved for something good that we seem desperate. Rather than crucify the guy, why not think about what he's said and use it constructively. Let's realize we won't be perfect nor disastrous forever, and let's deal with both ups and downs with class. On another note, as Vlad points out, the jinglin the keys on third down is silly and not only un-intimidating, but probably anti-intimidating. Same goes for that Claw bs that the Daily sponsors.

You must be from the " down in front" crowd. When I go to a game I don't go to sit on my hands. I go to yell my frickin head off and cheer on this team. Who gives a rats ass if they/we jingle the keys or do the claw thing. If you don't like it, watch it from your tv at home. I sat right up against the student section against purdue this year and it was one of the best times I've had at a M game and we lost. From now on i'm trying to sit as close to the students as possible.

Both your logic and your reading comprehension skills needs work. I say we shouldnt do something because it's un-intimidating, so it follows that I believe we Should be intimidating. Why would I be from the "down in front" crowd? You sat near the student section? I sat IN the student section, and was hoarse from saturday after the game until the next saturday, because I enjoy yelling at outrageous volumes for my team. That doesn't change the fact that intimidation from jingling keys is laughable, and the claw just looks ridiculous.

...the merits of the keys and the claw, you'd have plenty people on this board (a vast majority) more than willing to engage your "constructive criticism" openly and, well, constructively (a bunch of people would probably agree with you). The fact that this is like the 56th time this guy has brought the storming the court thing up, along with his openly antagonistic tone, makes this thread a really poor candidate for gauging/discussing people's tolerance towards constructive criticism.

Of this I was unaware; I don't read the threads that look useless, as most of the "don't rush the court" threads did. This one I came to by happenstance and couldn't believe the tone coming to The Impaler, who I've seen to be a generally quality poster in my time viewing the board. Though, I still can't believe I got negged for advocating classy behavior :/

haha great. I'd start that thread about the keys and claw now, but it seems (based on the negs) that the current board opinion of me is quite low (down from the neutrality of being unknown) and so it would be met with contempt, so perhaps another day, once this has blown over :p

Maybe you agree that KSU has better fans because they coordinate their gameday gear well, or that "kids at KSU have more self-restraint than UM kids". Maybe you didn't do so well on the college entrance exams under the topic called "reading comprehension", becasue if you had you wouldn't ask the rest of us to "think about what he's said and use it constructively" after a post that interjects "ha-ha" in the middle of it. Or, maybe you are just another douche-nozzle like the Implaler, no?

Interesting your point is that we should all look at the facts as to why Michigan fans aren't the best and one of your 3 points is that they don't jingle their keys. I wasn't aware that when you told us to look at the facts, you were going to point to something so ridiculously stupid. Well, I say KSU fans aren't the best because they play in Manhattan, Kansas. See, I am right because my fact points to KSU fans being douchebags.

sorry lil baby impaler! still don't quite get the whole hoopla thing over rushing the court. it's not like it happens all the time. we got excited and worked up over a great athletic win. so what's really the problem? other than being one of the few posters who just like to say crazy shit just to see how many negbangs they can get. i think Dantonio is on the phone for you, thats up his alley.
