Kings to Host "Sauce Castillo Night"

Submitted by MaizeNBlu628 on

The Kings will be honoring Stauskas' new nickname with "Sauce Castillo Night" on 4/5 against the Jazz. All fans will receive a "Sauce Castillo" hot sauce, and special edition shirts will be sold in the team store.

On the court, Stauskas' shooting has improved greatly since the start of March, shooting 47% from 3s, and averaged 7.4 ppg, playing 19.6 min/pg.

is Stauskus?  I know that Castillo has picked up his game quite a bit.  But everybody keeps referencing this Stauskus guy.  Does he play with Castillo?

Stauskas to the Spurs...(where Sauce Castillo will really take off)

Burke to the Cavs...

GRIII to the Hornets/Pistons...

Hardaway and McGary are both in good places. Would love to see Hardaway go to Miami once Wade retires though.

You want Stauskas and Burke to go to better teams but you think Hardaway is in a good place?

Utah is not bad.  They've got a solid future ahead.  They'd make the playoffs this year if they were in the East.  They're not far off from being a solid playoff team.

The Kings are in the same boat as the Jazz, but like a year behind.  They've got good young talent and with a high draft pick this year they'll be looking OK as well.

he means that Hardaway is getting an opportunity to shine a little, albeit on a bad team, but one with bright lights on it.  Hardaway playing well for a team that is universally recognized as bad could bode well for his next contract, where ever that may be.  Good or (horribly) bad, people pay attention to the Knicks, which in turn means they are getting a good look at Hardaway's game.

That is the only intepretation of his situation that I think amounts to "good."

I can get on board with that.  Although I think Burke is in a pretty good situation because the Jazz are close to being good and playing in the West they play against a lot of teams people want to watch as opposed to the Knicks whose only interesting game is against the Cavs and that's about it.

And althought fans might watch the Knicks more than the Jazz or Kings because they're the Knicks, the reality is that the GMs and scouts who really make these decisions aren't affected by that.  There are only 30 teams and they'll find talent wherever it is.

Nik was drafted by the wrong team. Bad fit for him. Hopefully he can get traded to a team that has a great creator. Thunder, Cavs, Wizards to name a few. Nik needs to sit in the corner and fire away. Once that happens defenders will respect him and then he can use his deceptive speed and creativeness to get to the tin. #SauceCastillo

I agree Sauce is with the wrong team.  But his only role has been to "sit in the corner" and wait for the ball.  Between Cousins and Gay dominating the ball like no other tandem in the NBA and not knowing (or unwilling) to  penetrate and skip pass, Sauce rarely gets the ball.  Sauce needs to given the opportunity to playmake, particularly as Karl has intimated that Nik may be the best passer on the team.

you where Sauce would be a perfect fit.   With our very own Detroit Basketball Pistons.  The Stones have a lot going for them right now. If Jackson resigns they have a point (or two pending Jennings) that can penetrate and kick and they one, possibly two, post guys who can sometimes force double teams.  What they need desperately is a knock down shooter.  I think Castillo would fit nicely in Detroit.

Pretty cool that the Kings are playing the Jazz on Sauce Castillo night so Trey can be there for it!!

I'd love to find a t-shirt with the big letters and the pepper logo. But the Kings' fan store only has one with the tiny reproduction of the closed captioning. Could this be a job for MGoStore?
