Good for him. Gives him a year to clear up his good name, and try to get a better longer term deal done with someone.

Josh morgan is pretty good, but braylon is the number one receiver on this team. Crabtree was really good last season but he's on the PUP list right now for his foot, and he might miss the entire preseason.

He is coming off another foot injury, the 49ers are bringing in a new offensive coordinator, and he will most likely miss all of training camp and the preseason. He is a step behind everyone else at the position because he hasn't run the offense yet.

I'm a big 49ers fan and love this pickup. Troy Smith is no longer on our roster so that's not a problem. I was sad that we let David Baas go but then we signed Jonathon Goodwin so it evened out and we also cut Nate Clements's lame-ass so we came out way ahead in my book.

It will be interesting to see if Braylon can push Crabtree as he's a bigger diva than Braylon and he hasn't even done anything the NFL, so we'll see if that has an effect.

Lose Nate Clements/Troy Smith, Gain Braylon, J Goodwin, and Harbaugh good offseason for Wolverine/Niners fans!

I get that if you aren't into the NFL. But if you "love" a team, does it matter that much?

Most Lions/UM fans don't hold back criticism of Backus (if warranted) nor did they withhold praise of Spielman.

Hell, I'm liable to hope a UM player won't go to Detroit (withhold tired Lions jokes, please) just because if they don't play well I don't want it to soil my image of their college days.

Only $3.5 Mil? I thought he was demanding much more, which is why the Jets signed Plaxico for $3 Mil. That seems really interesting to me.

It's all about the salary cap. Players thought there would be more money available this year , but they where wrong. That is why so many players only signed one year deals this year , so when the cap loosens next year they are free agents and can chase the buck. I'm surprised Plexico got 3 mill, considering he was a drama queen before and has'nt played football in what 3-4 years.

Aside from his stupid offend field issues, I can't help but think that Braylon would be the star WR we all thought he could be f he could just get on a team with a good QB. Frat he was on Cleveland with crappy qb play. Then the jets - don't get me wrong, Sanchez may turn out to be good but so far he has been nothing Special. Overthrows, lacks touch, tons of picks, poor decisions (all common for a youn qb, but still sucks for the WRs on the team. Now San Fran where it is either Alex smith or Troy Smith.

This is a perfect deal for Braylon. When your value is low you always sign the shortest deal you can with the intentions of having a big year that turns into a long-term contract that will give you your retirement savings.

I'm sure Browns message boards tonight will be littered with dumb wink-nudge jokes about how much he will love living in San Francisco.

At least he still is in a city with "essence." Ugh.

Hopefully JH can help in BE becoming a more mature individual. Looking at JH's past though, I don't think he will be a big help in that area. I wonder if he got a golden toilet in his new deal?
