Considering his final 2 were Nebraska and MSU, this is somewhat good news.
100% correct.
I just can't understand how MSU is getting so much play with some top prospects. I can understand Renaissance kids, or those interested because of family ties...but it is surprising that some serious prospects are even considering a middling team like State. Even if I didn't have my inherent MSU hatred, they are objectively not so great...without much history...etc.
Williams has family ties. It seems former Sparty's where getting quite busy 17-18 years ago.
Might just be a run of bad luck for us.

Certainly more than I'd expect.

Even though some these guys have had ties to Sparty, if we were winning 9+ games a year we would of had a lock on one of these guys!
Regardless we just need to start winning this year and we will be right back on top of these kids list. Hand it to Sparty though, Dantonio is a solid coach building a solid team.
This is our year like we all know! Just get out there and win!
I feel like there's an underground guerilla marketing campaign being staged by MSU. All of these blue chips mentioning the Spartans in their top group feels oddly suspicious. I think we need to ask their "Friends of The Program".
Nebraska seemed like the destination of choice for him for the last few weeks. Good luck to him in the Big 12.
I think we our in good shape to land Vincent Croce and Darian Cooper.
Similar to the Renaissance guys...when your coach is dropping subliminal messages all the time, it is hard to go elsewhere.
at least he didn't tell him not to go to michigan. he had a long standing relationship with nebraska.
Yeah, lets just hope we can land one of the other good tackles we are in on.
He could still be the next "Suh", but just at UM. Hope he reconsiders, but the high school coach may be feeding him the "kool-aid". Rich Rod and Co. will get some other talented DT to come play at Ann Arbor, not worried. Go Blue!
I'm glad the coaches have continued to scout players at DT, and seem intent on having a quality player in the 2011 class. Hopefully they end up with a bigger guy who can be molded over a couple years into exactly what they are looking for at the position.
Ah well from what I read he kept comparing himself to Ndamukong Suh. This is just what happens when a big time dude like Suh passes through your school, other recruits are interested in becoming the "next him"
was the next sure fire DT coming out of college. Everyone thought he would tear up the NFL. His D coach his last year was none other then Mr. Bo Pellini.
I hope for the Lions' sake, since it looks like they'll take Suh, that Nadamukong has more success in the NFL then Dorsey has had. With it being the Lions I suspect he'll be a bust (until they prove otherwise I expect history to repeat itself).

probably wants to be the next Jake Long. I certainly hope his wish comes true!
that would be interesting if it happened.
MY wife is from Nebraska, i hope not....could make the falls unbearable...Corhusker fans are passionate fans......
Better one wife than a state full of spartans. That being said, I do feel for you.
So... How does the year 1997 sit with your marriage?
It is probably a great choice for him. I think UofM had plenty to offer but schools do have vast differences.
I really wanted to us to get this kid and from what I had read thought we had a good chance. At first he was all about going to a school with strong academics but in the end wanted to be the next Suh. If I am not mistaken I thought I read he was interested in our engineering department which sounded like he was leaning our way. Hope it works out for him.
Next!
This is not a surprise. It was Nebraska all the way with this kid. Spring game in Lincoln was just a formality. Didnt think he'd get back to Toledo without committing to the Huskers after this weekend and thats what happened.
