Kevin Sousa commits to Michigan
Per Rivals, Kevin Sousa committed to Michigan on his visit today.
A two-fer on commitment Tuesday. Nice.
its is a great day. The weather in AA sealed the deal. 72 and sunny
Niiice. This has been a great day, Sousa looks like he is a great QB for this class.
"Commit #2 for the day for Michigan. QB Kevin Sousa has committed to Michigan. Leaving from his visit right now."
I trust we'll get a post-visit interview. Would love to hear how he was blown away by the campus, facilities, coaches, solar car...
Welcome, Kevin. Great news on an otherwise somber day.
Yes Please! Im all in for Sammy Watkins commiting to us soon.
Packaged deal of watkins and crawford
No I'm pretty sure he heard I was going to snag a schollie so he jumped...
How do you link to an individual comment? That's a pretty neat trick.
You click on the number in the upper right-hand corner of the post, then cut & paste.
I'll take one Dee Hart, to go, please!
on here for 20 mins... we already had one commit when i logged on then i refreshed the site 15 mins later and we have another... what a day...
omg, this has made my week alot better...great news!
im glad your week alot has improved. does it look like the alot below?

I guess i dont get your humor on this.
on the note of a QB commit. It is just what we needed. Go blue!
This kid looks to have a ton of potential, and all after just 2 years of high school football.
read the link - i put it there for a reason.
if you're too lazy to do that, then the short of the matter is that its a grammar joke (alot vs a lot).
I was at work, and didn't proof read before i clicked the save. When i tried to correct it, you had clicked reply. That is what i get for posting on the job. mea culpa
thanks for the light-hearted laugh this morning.
the kid has great size. i like the potential upside here.
Well hot dog! 2fer Tuesday!!! Now I think it's beer-o-clock, anyone with me?!
Magic Hat Summer Seasonal. I haven't tried it yet. Fingers crossed...
How's that working out for you? Hopefully better than mine... (Miller Chill, GAG)
Perfect ending to a pretty good day.
Not good...if I remember right, it has beet juice in it. Beet juice. Beets. Bears. Battlestar Galactica.
Hopefully other recruits will see the spots filling up and jump on board before they miss out on the oppurtunity to play in the first ever Big Ten championship game.
can anyone update on his rankings and his offers?
Not a single offer from any football powerhouses
a troll
He has a verbal offer from Miami. While they may not be the Miami of the Late 80s or early 2000's, it is still a big time program. There are a lot of players that fly under the radar more than Sousa and have great careers. I'll trust the coaches.
Am I the only one that is a little bit worried that 6/7 of our recruits are 3 stars? You never seen this during lloyd's days.
His upside is unbelievable. Watch his highlights from last year and then watch his spring game highlight. He has the arm strength to fit it in tight spots (that's what she said?) and throw downfield (first highlight of the spring game was a 57 yarder, if im counting correctly), and his accuracy will continue to get better with more coaching. My favorite part, though, is that he is smart (3.5) competitive (camping like crazy) and lays an effing shoulder down at the end of his runs. I think a stud is what we have here.
Not that I know much about coaching, but this kid seems to have the athleticism and size we're looking for. I definitely think he can be groomed into a great player.
Good lord, not this again.
A) Most of them have respectable offers from other good programs.
B)The ratings are re-evaluated later, so there is always the chance that they get more "stars".
C)Several of them are raw, having not played football for very long. They will not be expected to make an immediate impact (though some of them could). However, those that are raw are universally accepted to have enormous upside and potential.
Short answer: No
Looks like someone's never heard of Mike Hart!
/not serious
Also, it's a good thing you posted three times in a row there. Really helped your cause.
I wont swear to it but I believe he was one of the top Qb's at an elite 11 camp. Want to say it was at Tuscaloosa.
8-16 record will do that to you. Numerous blue-chippers have dropped us because they wanted to play for a national championship contender. I think that we'll get a true indicator of Rodriguez's recruiting abilities if and when he has a nine or a ten win season.
Who cares bout 3stars. Did u read the article posted? it says he is under the radar. LC was a great recruiter but he did get alot of 3 stars. Alot of these commitments in this class are solid players. I am happy with the commits we have.
have young Mr. Sousa as a new commit. I can use this sort of excitement with two commits in one day. Welcome aboard Kevin you are gonna be really glad you committed to Michigan. Next up Kris Frost.
Go Blue! Congrats Kevin!!
Anyone know how to pronounce his last name? As it's spelled the same as John Philip Sousa's, I was inclined to pronounce it the same way. However, in the ESPN video linked below, the interviewer says his name with a long "o" (as in Sammy Sosa).
It'd be nice to avoid a situation similar to when Feagin committed, when most of the fanbase called him Feeeegin for several months....
Tim confirmed in the "Hello:" post that Kevin's last name is pronounced the same as Slammin' Sammy's.
Kevin Sousa Sophmore Highlights:
Kevin Sousa Junior Highlights Part 1: Kevin Sousa Junior Highlights Part 2: Kevin Sousa Spring Game 2010: Notice a theme here? Every clip you watch, the kid seems to be better. Just imagine what he will be like when he reaches Michigan in 2011. Then after a redshirt season to learn the offense. This kid's upside really excites me. If he continues to grow and mature as he has in the last 2 years. We will have landed a QB that will suprise many doubters. To say the least i am very excited to see his development on the field.
