Kevin Porter to Buffalo
Hobey Baker winner Kevin Porter signed an undisclosed contract with the Buffalo Sabres today.
Porter could break out in Buffalo, where the Sabres have always seemed to do well on somewhat unheralded prospects. However, unless he has a great camp, Porter will start the year in Rochester.
Hopefully things work out for Kevin there. The Sabres colors are close to maize and blue, after all.
It'd be great if he could make the Sabres as he'd be reunited with Nathan Gerbe and they'd have the top two goalscorers from the 2007-08 NCAA season IIRC
Congrats, Ports! I hope he picks up his scoring touch on a line with some of Buffalo's young guns as well.
