It's utterly fascinating that unlike most of us, you grew up (and are still growing up) in an age where the internet is and always has been just a part of your normal everyday life. There really hasn't been any time where you haven't had access to the internet. However, you lack the ability to socialize acceptably on this medium that you arguably should be much more comfortable with than any of us. Its analogous to someone of able body and mind raised in an english speaking area, with english speaking family and friends, who speaks the language just as poorly and fractured as an asian tourist in Las Vegas.
To put it bluntly, you do occasionally have moments of clarity and reason on here, but 9 out of every 10 of your posts make you seem like a socially inept kid with no filter and a horrible case of diarrhea of the mouth.

Guy had the worst luck getting hurt before the draft Would've been a later in the draft pick but I think he would have been a steal for any team if he was healthy.

I kind of thought he would have been a good pick-up for a team, and land on a practice squad for some insurance, but glad to see he's found a place to land.
Getting to the NFL and succeeding there really is a total crapshoot, much moreso than in any other sport. One wrong move in practice or in a game and your career could be over before it even started. By that same token, some low-round draft pick from a no-name school could become the next MVP.
And coaching is a great gig for a young guy. Live cheap, move your way up. Maybe get in at Eastern or something. By 30, he could be making some decent money somewhere.
I wish him the best. I think he will make a good coach, based on my Twitter stalking of him ;)
It's a huge bummer that injury pevented Koger from having a chance in the NFL, but he found a job that I'm sure will be rewarding both for him and for the kids he coaches. I wish him all the best.
Plus he's working in football. Best of luck to him.
Could be just a temporary pit-stop and try to get into a camp next year. I'm just assuming it's a job to pay the bills, be around football and have the option to leave whenever without ruffling any feathers.
Don't know much about Koger, but I think this would be a good fit for him. He seems like he's got a pretty active personality, so I think he'd be a great coach down the road.
Really hope it all works out for him. He got a bad deal on his injury right before the draft, but then again, there's no guarantee he would have made an NFL roster. No disrespect to him of course.
I think this is a great story really - it's not the NFL (and he is still young enough that he could go to camps and still make it anyway), but he's in football, and this could be the first step in a coaching career for all we know. Palka was a pretty good hire and I think to have a Michigan player of extremely recent vintage on the staff to help kids develop is definitely not a bad thing. Indeed, if he enjoys coaching, that's awesome too. Whichever path he chooses, I wish him the best - we were fortunate to have him at Michigan.

Kevin Koger was one of Those Who Stayed. We were blessed to have him at U-M and the kids at Saline will be blessed to have him as a coach. I'm a Huron grad, but go Hornets.

That's awesome. Getting to work with young people, passing on your knowledge of something you know and love; we should all be so lucky.
(admitting that it's hard not to have a lot of favorites in these teams) and I think he'll make a great coach. Mature, wise, with a great sense of humor, and responsible for one of the most beautiful one-handed catches in memory. Whether or not he tries in another year or two for an NFL career when he's fully healed, I think he'll make a terrific coach. [Can I call that emphasis rather than redundancy?] Great news.
Who knows, maybe one day he will be coaching at Michigan along with Mike Hart.
I wish his NFL dreams could have come true for him.
But as someone else said, working with young people is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. He gets to work with them and in a sport he loves. That's not a bad position at all.
I'm glad he landed somewhere so quickly and I hope he uses this spot as a stepping stone (or career if he'd like) toward doing whatever it is he wants to do in life.

Former Saline Hornet myself and I was on the Saline middle school coaching staff last year, I have to say this is awesome.
I had a chance to meet Palka and he seems like a good fit. Very different from the previous regime and honestly I can see him taking Saline places with the right moves.
He has done quite a bit to hire in guys with college coaching or college playing experience so I think that will have a positive effect on the kids. Hiring in Koger is a great move. I don't know if he's getting paid enough to make a living (like some have mentioned on here), but the experience is second to none. I'm actually jealous of those players, to be coached by a former UofM player is quite a treat!
