Kevin Hogan Staying At Stanford

Looks like he will not be a graduate transfer after all.
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) -- Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan will return to school as a fifth-year senior, opting to make one more run with the Cardinal next season instead of entering the NFL draft or pursuing other career paths. Hogan announced his decision via Twitter on Thursday, the final day for underclassman to declare for the draft. The school confirmed he would be back.

Hard to say no to grad classes at Stanford.

I'm not particularly worried if we go into the season without a transfer QB, I'd just like the added benefit of one more option as what we have right now is untested.
Connor Brewer, who was at Texas before he went to Arizona, was a former 4-star recruit. He has two years of eligbility left, so maybe he's an option.

All of our qb's get a fresh start with the new staff & new schemes. Was Andrew Luck predicted to be 1st round draft pick in his sophomore year? Hopefully by the spring game we have some idea who the leaders are for the starting job.

Another year with our program and he looked as if he had regressed. Not the only player to have done so. I think it's smart and fair to see how he progresses with the new coaching staff. I have a feeling he will impress us.

Take it from somebody who watches a lot of Pac12 football, we are better off. He never seemed to get it done in big games.

Hogan said he is going back to the Farm. He needs to graduate this semester before he could transfer. If Hogan gets beat out for the starting spot in spring, i think he reconsiders. If he wins the starting job in spring, i bet he stays. But saying that its over because he said he is going back at this point is premature.
