Ya plus the reporting on the text is a tongue and cheek joke which turns out to be pretty poignant now that everyone thinks it was serious and is reporting it as real news. KSR is a fan based news outlet that likes to have fun. They DO report really good stuff at times, but their motto is "facts are optional" - which is a running joke that they goof around with. Anyone who takes this post seriously does NOT understand where it came from. Its basically a radio show joke and not to be taken seriously. Its just for fun. They stated that trying to predict where he is going is a crapshoot and that no one has good info and put that out there because of how ridiculous it is.

I was relaxed until you patronizingly told me to relax, insinuating that (a) the OP and I weren't relaxed, (b) you're the cool guy with the chill perspective on life and we're not, and (c) being told "relax" by some random internet dude amounts to anything other than wasted reading.

Now I'm not relaxed.  Thanks.

So we are now basing this on a random text message that happens to have the same area code?  Ok then.  I'm going to spoof my phone and send a text to these guys from ATL saying that the South is rising again, and prepare for Civil War Round 2!

I think this is the "scout guys" that OP is referring to.  Someone posted the same over at the Victors Board--I'm assuming he said something on the radio.

I agree that it's nothing to freak out over given the tight-lipped nature of this recruitment, but it's more than just an anonymous text, I think.

Can't say this comes as a surprise. In my opinipon we shpuld have gone all in on Kenny Williams. Much more realistic and a 4 year 4 star player. When I saw his visit had been set up for May 18 I all but gave up hope. It's on to 2016.

It's pretty hard to blame a kid for choosing UK when he's an obvious one and done and they have a track record of gettiing their one and dones drafted in the 1st 5 picks.  Plus, the facilities that UK has for their basketball players to live in are like something from Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous.

Still in it, but UK is going to be tough to beat.

Always loved the notion of coaches having a good track record of getting "guys in the League". What a fucking joke. If you're that good it doesn't matter where you go. It's the fact that they're getting paid and allowed to love like college kings for a year, not that "Cal can get him in the top 10" (opposed to football where there are coaches who are noted as taking low recruits and making them staples in the NFL, e.g.Kirk Ferentz)

I disagree.

While a great player will certainly make it into the NBA either way. However, there is no doubt that an elite level talent would most likley be better served at Kentucky or Duke than other schools. They get more national playtime. You know they are going to be in the tourney every year and most likely deep into it. More games, higher profile games, to showcase talent.

well the Harrison twins, Dakari Johnson , among others,  would beg to differ.  They dropped lower on draft boards the longer they stayed.  When you start with a team of 5*s, it ain't that impressive to get them to the next level.  Similarly, once Jaylen finishes his 1-2 years here at Michigan :-), I doubt many will claim that Beilein made him a lottery pick.
