So pleased to see kent state win. I was rooting for them ever since I heard about the tragic death of a kid's mother on the team just a few days ago.

8th and 9th well hitting a batter also was a bit  much . If my calculations are right they threw 20 itches in the 9th and only 5 for strikes, and one was ball four, the other was a bunt that fouled off that was ball four also. I am rooting for Kent State Golden Flashes since I live 10 minutes from the school. Man what a huge win for their team and the MAC.

Ellet a suburb of Akron it is like 4 exits up from where I live. Yeah TJ Sutton went to Glen Oak where his dad was coach but the rest of his family is from Hartville and went to Lake High school where I went. I know his older siblings. So that is pretty cool in itself.

I live in Cuyahoga Falls. I'm more of an Akron u fan since I grew up going to their games at the rubber bowl but it's sill nice to see a small team like Kent do well.

I went to grade school at st Matthews right there next to Ellet high school.

Well I didn't expect you to take my light comment as such an insult, but if you'd get to know the city you wouldn't be so close-minded. I live in Northwest Akron, where there is little crime, and the schools are the highest performing in the district, so maybe try to open your mind a little.

can anyone think of any schools that are more baseball-centric than Michigan that are looking for a coach and are (probably) eyeing Stricklin?  He's gotta be one of the hottest names in baseball coaching right now, so Michigan might have some competition in signing him.  I feel like the longer we go without a coach, the better, because obviously Brandon can't sign Stricklin when he's still coaching, but if it's a couple days after he's done with the season and we still haven't heard anything, it's probably time to worry again...

Josh Cribbs factor is nice too.  He arranged for a bus to take a whole bunch of Kent St fans to Omaha...not sure if he rode the bus or not, but he is a big fan.

with my friends on FaceBook this weekend, Cribbs, Harrison, Gates, Jack Lambert, Thurman Munson, and a few other that I forget all went to Kent State. The school is very well represented for being super small and god awful at football.

Everyone out here is psyched because now UCLA is the top ranked team in the tourney (lots of Zona fans out here excited about that game as well).

My wife was so happy to see Kent win that she even had a discussion with me about it (a first, especially about baseball.) Being an Alum she rarely gets to gloat about her alma mater, but since we now live in FLA, she was extra pumped to rub it in to all the SEC and Gator folk. Now ... if the coach will just leave for Michigan.
