Great news, but it kind of stinks that the staff has to use valuable time re-recruiting commits. I know that tends to happen anyway, but I'm sure it's going to be extra difficult this year.

... This is one of the best things we can do right now. Some commits are feeling a little uneasy after the change, others want to know where they stand with the new staff. By going to vist him and making sure he knows these things could be the difference between him decommiting or not.

Most of the out of state recruiting is done on a regional basis, not position by position. Fred recruits the gulf cost, inlcuding the Houston area, regardless of position.
