Keisean Lucier-South: Michigan his "favorite school"
Trending well with KLS. Per Mlive, per Rivals:
"I love the program," Lucier-South told Rivals.com's Adam Gorney this week. "It's my favorite school. The tradition there is insane. I've been watching them since I was a little kid. I can feel the vibe over there and that's why I chose them as my first official visit, too. I want to check it out. I really love Michigan right now."

Hey, Michigan is my favorite program too! We should be friends!
Excellent!
Your bond is certainly strong enough that you should follow him and send him creeper tweets.
It's up to you on how you'd like to interpret the term "follow."
This year is a sneaky good class. We're leading or close with Lewis, KLS, Roseboro, Wheatley, Weber still and we already have guys like Clark, Cole, Kinnel.
Feel confident enough to make another buckle up thread?

There's dark corners of the internet where he wins every day.
I get bad feels about Wheatley.
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. (Let's not jinx anything though LOL)
If we could get those guys you named this class would be excellent. Proabably a Top-15 class. I just hope we can fit all those guys in the class. Coaches are still thinking of another Linebacker (Bilal, Masina) and maybe even another Offensive Lineman.
wasn't sure if you'd show your face around here anymore. or show your face in the internety sense.
is a 2016 recruit.
then I'll get excited.
I've got the opposite line of thinking.
All kids are blown away after official visits. He is already that amped? He may wave one of those old timey papier mache fans in his face and faint when he actually gets on site.
but why do you read or reply to recruiting threads? You almost always post just to say how disinterested you are and try really hard to give the impression you don't care about recruiting or a particular recruit basically until they've committed. It's just confusing because you clearly care about recruiting even if you pretend to not get "excited" about a 5 star top priority player saying Michigan is his favorite school... again and even before he's been able to visit.
There's a vast difference between being very interested in recruiting—which I am—and getting all sweaty and celebratory over random comments by 17-year olds we're pursuing, which is the norm around here. It wasn't too long ago that more than a few were jubilantly putting Hand in a Michigan uniform based on early favorable comments he made about Michigan.
What comes to mind right away is all the high-fiving around here about "Professor Needs-a-Raise" because of comments that Hand himself made about the presentation Needs-a-Raise made to him. Plenty of people around here were convinced Hand was more or less in the bag because of it. Alabama engineering? LOL.... we've got Sports Management!
Fast forward a few weeks after that and people were ready to jump off ledges, fire Hoke, and roast Sam Webb on a spit for good measure.
Having KLS say nice things about us now is certainly a good thing, but if I had a fiver for every highly-ranked recruit over the last 20 years who has said nice things about U-M only to sign with another school on NSD, I could have nice dinner at the Chop House with dessert, brandy and a cigar afterwards.
If you want to subject yourself to the roller-coaster of putting a lot of stock in the words and emotions of teenagers who are trying to figure out where they want to go to school and play football 13 months from now, go ahead.
This one seems a bit more genuine because it's not coming off a "let's blow your teenage mind" official visit.
Your point stands, however.
You can't seriously tell me you clicked on this thread not knowing that it was going to be about. We have one of our top targets saying nice things about Michigan in no uncertain terms, it's ok to be excited and happy about it. If things go south later, I'll react accordingly, but there's enough negative nancying on this board without it spreading to the one area where Michigan has been overwhelmingly successful over the last 3-4 years.
Where in the flying fuck did you get the idea that I didn't know what the thread was about?
As for "negative nancying" about recruiting, I've made plenty of comments since Hoke has arrived to the effect that his recruiting has been tremendous, which is what I believe.
Some of you don't know the goddamn difference between weather and climate. Looking at whether or not we get one recruit is weather. Looking at entire recruiting classes is climate. Guess which one is more important.

I'm cautiously optimistic too. Does him saying nice things in August mean he is a lock to commit to us in February? No.
But is it better than him having a list of his top twenty or so schools and we are not even on it? Yes.
4 stars to Rivals? Don't want him.
LOL JUST KIDDING, you guys [and gals].
How do you say his name?
It's "Keyshawn."
Confirmed by SBNation interview.
With reverence.
Kay El Ess I think is how it is spoken.
In all honestly, I don't know, but I think it is "Kay-shawn Loose-ee-air South"
Doesn't matter how it's pronounced so long as it's pronounced at Michigan and the opposition reads it as Lucifer-South.
It doesn't matter how Key-Shawn's name is pro-NOUNCD' just as long as it's at Michigan.
Furthermore, if we could handle Tishmunga Biakabatuka, we can handle any name.
How do you pronounce "South"?
I'm with Don on this one. Just win games and the top kids will come.
It won't let me like your comment more than once. But since I'm Canadian, once you do the exchange to US, can't I like a comment at least twice?
August 5th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
Based on today's exchange rate, you can like it once and have I-don't-give-a-shit-one-way-or-the-other change left over for another comment.
I disagree! We should tank for the draft!
Shun the non-believer!
