Kareem Walker given 24 hours to cancel his OVs

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

This according to MGoFish and others apparently.

Walker update: According to the source, that 24 hr deadline being reported is real and if Walker cancels his other OVs, he'll remain w/ OSU.

So we will know a lot more about our possible standing with him in 24 hours.

EDIT: Originally reported on Ohio State Scout Board apparently, and this tweet preceded MGoFish's

@MGoFish hearing OSU giving deadline for Walker to decide if he'll be in class. Couple this with your source and that sounds good for UM

no problem with Urban doing this. he knows Walker might be wavering, kid from Wisconsin is ready to flip and Urban can't afford to be left empty handed. so reaffirm your commitment now or we are moving on. sure it might help us but that is only because he is wavering in the first place.

where is that OSU troll that was on here the other day spouting off about how Hoke gave ultimatum to recruits, but OSU was above that...

Not sure I see this as OSU cooling on him. Sounds like they want to keep him yet they think he's slipping away. OSU just trying to protect themselves from getting boxed out on someone else now. All and all if true it's the equivalent of punching urban Meyer right in the mouth. I love it.

Uh oh. Where there is smoke there is definitely fire. I'd say this is pretty good for us. Even if he was having the slightest doubts, being issued an ultimatum can't be good for his process. I'm guessing OSU is under the assumption the ship has sailed on the kid and this is their last ditch attempt to solidify or save face. Shitty to put the kid in that situation but I understand it. Could definitely be handled better though if you truly have the kids best interest at heart which is likely what you're professing in the first place

Sort of ironic that a guy like Herb who is known to go after other school's commits is now giving Walker an ultimatum so that he knows if he can steal a kid who is committed to Wisconsin...

What an asshole.

Not to mention Weber.

Wow, that would suck to be under contract to urban Meyer and his program that's undefeated and trending down. How can all these undefeated big ten king pins be trending down? Well, that's what happens when you play bad teams and turn in bad results from bad play. I was scared state would lose to Rutgers and they should of. Now I'm hoping that Ohio State can beat Penn State, but I have a feeling that's not going to happen.

another weber deal. what gets me is that they can go for players from other schools. i can see why this is going like it is. they need to know who is coming and who is not. then they can get other players. so all i can say is got fingers crossed. not a good feeling he will leave.

It's long been whispered that recruiting in the SEC is as much about keeping a kid from going to a rival as it is to get them into your program.  I have a feeling Herb learned a few tricks while in Gainesville and gentlemen's agreement or not, he doesn't give a shit and will hoard kids in Columbus just to hoard them.
