Kampfer Signs With Bruins
Just an FYI that Steve Kampfer has signed with Boston and will begin his pro career in Providence.

from the horror we all were struck with when he was mugged on the ice to signing with the Bruins, it's great to see what could have happened didn't and what came to be did.
I hope he plans to finish his degree like Porter and Kolarik did, but best of luck in the NHL.

Maybe if Tropp makes it to the NHL, Steve can give him a little revenge punch-to-the-face. Or the ovaries, because Tropp has them.
Unfortunately (not to nitpick), but it would probably more accurate to say "if Kampfer makes it to the NHL". Tropp is the more highly regarded prospect of the two (he's the #2 right wing prospect in the Sabres system behind Zack Kassian).
was outstanding on the blue line for us this year and his whole career really. He stepped up big time down the stretch, especially when Summers went down.
I wish him the best in the pros!
