Commence (continue?) wild speculation about this weekend.
this is the most perfect response yet to the tsio meltdown
Mondays headlines will hopefully be Kalis goes blue
Wow this is going to get very interesting. Not only will his recruitment become intense, but you have to wonder what kind of effect this will have on Dunn and even other big time recruits that seemed to waiver a bit. Does anyone know who he will be considering and how important being close to home is? I am trying to get a hold of my friends who follow recruiting since i know nothing on my own.
Buckeye meltdown in progress!! Cuts like a knife!!
Ohh but it feels so right!!
nah nah nahhhh nah nah nahhh nah nahhhhh nah nah nahhh nah nahhhhh
I can't say much about anything with him because I think it's sensitive. I will say that this is something to keep an eye on. Definite interest in Michigan.
No recruiting thread is complete without cryptic TomVH!
if he'll be our starting Left Guard, Right Guard, or Center right? Or does he plan on getting that surgery during the offseason to make his arms 1' longer so he can play Left Tackle?
Six to midnight? Oh yeah.
#win
I hate John Mellencamp.
Pos-bang...oh wait
some of the Ohio State boards and they now say that they never wanted him. Hope he goes BLUE!! Best of luck to him!!
which tsio blog site is saying this?
Fuck them, They'll disagree in 4 years after we kick their ass 4 years in a row and Kalis is driving their D-Line back 10 yards downfield.
There's some pretty impressive whining going down at 11W as we speak.
It's his choice to do whatever he wants, but I think this speaks volumes about someones character, you promise someone that you're wholeheartedly in, and then you withdraw. Kind of shows that you for a lack of better terms have no balls.
Yea, I'm sure this tough guy would say that to a 6'5 302lb athlete in person.
This is so true. It's why they didn't want Boren to come play for them. They are, if nothing else, at least not hypocrites.
when they coach a Big 10 football team in Ohio and to entice an 18 year old kid to play for them, they tell the kid that their school has a certain set of morals and values, but then it turns out that coach has been lying to his superiors, the press and the team and actually there's a whole other set of values and morals going on.
I also think it speaks volumes about an 18 year old kid who wouldn't want to be associated with such a program.
They're talking about someone's CHARACTER down there????? HA.
lol, i love this, i'm sorry I'm gonna steal it ....
No problem man, as the kitten does not belong to me, I shall allow it
It's actually my cat... Name is fluffy.
5 star recruit who is in the top 5 at his position from the state of Ohio and the fans say they never wanted him? Has hell frozen over? I don't see any pigs flying, so I can't believe them.
Me likes. I like it a lot.
he is a Buckeye through and through, i think he will look around at other schools, like michigan and penn state, but he wants to be a Buckeye. I believe we could have ourselves a commitment from Kyle Kalis this weekend
But didn't they say the same thing about Kalis a number of weeks ago?
If this was in response to what i said I agree with you in the fact that Dunn will be a tough pull no matter what. However we both know this will create even more talk about getting Dunn. I will add that I have talked to a few of my recruiting guru friends who have heard and believe Michigan will be hard to beat for Kalis. I liked that Tom gave an encouraging cryptic post as well. I would love for you to be right, and that it happens this weekend.
Wow sounds like there are some reliable sources saying Dunn is expected to de-commit soon as well. Wow is all I can say!
Hoke is about to reach across the table in the middle of dinner, grab a commit right off O$U's plate and then excuse himself for a golden bowel movement!
I concur. Hoke Is about to take a shit on tat school from Ohio's dinner plate.
It's a full time jack move! Wonder if this will be the *one* "major" decommit that starts a mini-stampede away from tOSU, or gives pause to most others strongly considering them in spite of their impending screwing.
Remember when Dreisbach1817 was told he was the grim reaper? Yeah, not anymore. This is really good news if only because he's got a definite interest in Michigan. I'm going to temper my excitement until he commits to us or somewhere that is not OSU though.
At least Ohio isn't really "national", so we don't have to worry about MSU. That's a weight off my shoulders.
I think Sparty would insist it is considering 5 of their 6 commits are from the state of Ohio. Too bad Kalis isn't even considering Sparty.
I almost want to look at OSU boards to see the massive freakout. For now, I will restrain.
At the Dispatch website for the hell of it. The posters there are too busy in-fighting to notice that Kalis is getting out of dodge. Very strange phenomenon. I think it hurts so bad that they're turning on each other, questioning others' "love" of and "loyalty" to the school.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually feel a little bad for (some) OSU fans. They aren't the ones who cheated, and it has to be devastating to find out -- in a matter of months -- that your beloved team's successes are tainted and its future looks horribly grim. It makes me even angrier with Tressel, Gene Smith, and the rest of those d-bags for what they've done to college football.
I can't beleive you're saying that either
Would OSU fans feel bad if UM was in their shoes? No they would not, it's going to be awhile until they can unfuck themselves and I'm fucking lovin it.
with this level of infighting? If the fan base divides, the program falls. Osu, like any other program, relies on a unified fan base to fill its stadiums and buy its merchandise. What are they going to do if suddenly half of Columbus doesn't want to buy Osu welcome mats?
http://ohiostate.scout.com/a.z?s=145&p=8&c=1&nid=5020577
Michigan is now listed as "High" interest while everyone else has a "Medium"
"Areas of Improvement - Arm Length"
I would love to know how he plans on fixing that. Its like they had to find a fault with him.
gaaa - you beat me to it. I was distracted by the weather radar, big storms are rollin' through Michigan right now.
And a bigger storm is rolling through OSU's recruiting class, ha!
I hope they filled out their CARA forms correctly.
ambidextrous bowling would help?
I love how that site lists under areas of improvement: "Arm length"
Just how do you make your arms longer?? :)
Anyway I'm loving this. It'd be great to pull this kid in, obviously, the fact that he's good friends with Strobel probably isn't hurting either.
Your comparison is sloppy at best.
Nearly 70% of all couples who attempt the reverse-Boren wind up with a crushed pelvis. Fact.
That just takes the phrase "get plowed" to a whole new level.
Why a 5 pt. max.... Why?
This comment has tripple digit potential.
Funniest thing I've heard all day. Nice execution.
Honestly I wouldn't go that far, Boren already played here a year before turning Benedict Arnold on us.
Scout now lists him as having 'High' interest in Michigan and 'Medium' for all of his other schools.
His area for improvement is...Arm Length!?!? Thanks coach, I'll get right on it.
/wanking motion
Yeah it's tough to believe that this kid hasn't improved on that yet. I think that speaks poorly of his work ethic and attitude.
Don't forget to blame his character while you're at it. /ElevenWarriors
once a kid gets in the habit of having less than optimal arm length, it's hard to get him to break it
Agree. The 5th one is willing to experiment.
His coaches must not have been hammering home the fundamentals of how to play with good arm length. If they haven't gotten him to change his irresponsible ways by now, what hope do we have for the future?
My favorite part of all of this is how OSU fans were like "WHEW, CARGATE IS POSITIVELY RESOLVED" and then BAM! Those guys can't catch a break... and it is delicious.
The next Hokeamaniac?
this is going to be very interesting!!
I fear for this kid's mental stability and all-around safety if he ends up going Blue. The level of class that a lot of tOSU fans will handle this with will be nothing surprising.
Go Blue Kyle, and see the true nature of your "fans".
A small sample from twitter...
what a bunch of whiny clownpussies. If I was an O[tat]U recruit seeing this reaction I wouldn't be flattered with the asshattery I'd be seeing for 4-5 years from that fanbase.
Not that most of us were the ones doing such actions, but those in glass houses should not throw stones: plenty of UofM fans felt the need to tweet and fb Darius Morris about his mistake, his betrayal to the program, failing in the pros, and just plan old anger and frustration. We didn't exactly see the good side of the UofM fanbase.
And I'm not biased about my criticism of those types of "fans". Michigan fans that do that are also idiots. That being said, you don't hear about media types moving from Ann Arbor b/c the fan base is so full of hate. I think its a lot worse at OSU.
... is a term both hysterical and terrifying.
Try not to think too hard about the makeup.
Wow! An Ohio fan talking about someone's word not being any good. Hilarious. Let's see a head coach repeatedly lies and even signs a document that is a lie versus a high school kid who gave a verbal. Apples and oranges but what should I expect.
Yes, Kyle Kalis's word ain't worth shit. Instead, OSU fans will get behind a real promise: "I'll get right on that !! Happy Easter !! - jt"
Now that's an oath you can hang your hat on.
are sooooooo delicious. MMMmmmmmmm................
I really have to say that I hope Kalis doesn't read any comments like this. I am sure it was hard for him to decommit anyway and then to have people like this talk smack about him for looking out for his best interests.
They constantly switch between the two.. tRCMB can't figure it out either. Some claim we don't deserve to have our school letters capitalized, while some claim it emphasizes that UM is scum. Either way, it's just so hurtful..
"I think its absurd to let kids like Kalis hold THE Ohio State program hostage because we won't name Fickell HC. I have no problem with him choosing to go to that $hit hole to finger bang Stroebel if it means we bring in a guy like Meyer or Pelini, etc. Fickell has proven nothing. I like his heart, I like what he said in the press conference, but lets be serious. Ohio State is one of the top three programs/jobs in the country. There are a ton of coaches gnawing at the bit to jump on board. Lets see what we can do after August."
Who wouldn't want to deal with a fanbase like that?
This is great. That means he's coming to UM with an open mind. I would love to have him go blue.
I would never pay a red cent to be a member of 247, but I'd be willing to donate an extra couple bucks to my church to read the Bucknuts message board right now.
Go Blue!
You know you don't have to be a member to read the meltdown, right?
I'm never gonna pay for that or tRCMB, but they're quite fun to go over and read when things are going our way
two words. GO BLUE !!
Snagging visits from their top two recruits feels so good. This is the first time I am really feeling like Michigan is turning the corner with the rivalry. Cheers to everyone.
Turning the corner will certainly help when you have the opportunity to put players like Kyle Kalis in the maize and blue. All of these O-Line recruits are driving me nuts SOOO many talented players taking a long hard look at what the maize and blue can offer
Let's develop that O line so Devin and Morris can dominate. My wish list is getting out of control.
I am in the middle of watching Hardcore Pawn on tru tv and got to this on a commercial break,...can we all say BA BOOM, now with this update.
The nuclear reactor in C-Bus is on overload mode! ..Hope we can land him after this weekend.
If someone with a speech impediment says what I'm watching, it sounds a lot like "Hardcore Pawn"
A speech impediment. They could be from Boston which ... yeah ....
When was the last time that Michigan took a recruit right off the bucknut list? Got to be early Carr years I think.
Crable?
An Ohio site is running with Dunn being gone this evening as well.
Looking for more info on this but this rumour also has a legit feel too it. If so, I think we can say the recruiting wheels have officially fallen off the bus...
There are these as well from @GerdOzone (TheOzone):
I've been told that Brionte Dunn is already gone, but that was told to me more as an inevitability rather than something immediate.
I would be pretty surprised if Kalis is the last five-star recruit to decommit from Ohio State this week.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Dunn's entire story lately has been that he wants to see what the fallout will be. Well, they already had that top 2011 kid decommit, and now their top 2012 kid is gone. Couple that with coaching uncertainty and future sanctions, and if I'm watching this I start thinking that maybe I should join Kalis at Michigan, which is up-and-coming. The sanctions will only help us further, but things are already falling apart down there in C-bus.
Why not come where we will need a great running back to rely on in the future. Especially when he sees the huge man bear pig lineman we are in on. They will create monsters holes for him he will have no trouble being a star running back up here
Who wouldn't want to run behind our "nasty" lineman, Magnuson and Kalis
Diamond, Peat, Banner, Thurston any others?
Garnett.
Olson and Bars are also in the conversation, but according to some, they would rather those two hold off until the interest of the rest quells. While I agree with that sentiment (getting the top talent), I also think whoever is blue is blue.
I think those two train of thoughts are so difficult to balance..you want people here that will bleed maize and blue, but you want those kids that can contribute early and often and continue the trend of sending players to the NFL
Yeah, my main problem is how the people who want the talent have come off. I mean, I understand how they're feeling. I want those players too. At the same time, I think we shouldn't be down on players who choose to come to Michigan, even if they aren't as highly rated by the recruiting sites. These guys will be Wolverines, like many of us.
If Dunn is definitely decommitting I wonder if it changes what will be said to Alden Hill on his phone call with the coaches on Wednesday.
a shimmering .gif version of this? If so, I would enjoy seeing it again.
I don't know how twitter works, is that TomVH saying that, or someone saying it to him? If its the former, that means something big.
He's saying what someone else said. But if tom's retweeting something, I'd say it's solid...
It is the latter -- TomVH is "retweeting" what someone else tweeted. However, Tom wouldn't have done that if he didn't think that the source was reasonably credible.
is the guy who runs the OZone site for OSU, Tony Gerdeman. The Michigan Mondays guy. He's totally legit.
That's it
OSU fans are melting down. It's incomprehensible to them that anybody would decommit, and potentially go to Michigan. A quote from one hurt Buckeye,
"One thing I also look forward to is the revenge factor against these recruits that spurn us for other schools. I think the recruits that are apart of this OSU class will hold a grudge against the kids who rejected us, especially the scUM kids."
This is only the beginning, things are going to get much worse.
"that are apart" <---- my favorite part
I'm friends with Kalis on Facebook (Yes, I know. I'm even friends with other recruits/commits too), and the last three posts on his wall are about Micigan. While it could just be random fans like me, it could also be his friends, which could mean he's been talking about Michigan to them. I dunno, just food for thought I guess
I sure hope you are under the age of 18.
assumptions.
The meltdown is on, baby. The way they are talking over there, even if Kalis decided he wanted to go there he would probably forget it.
Somebody called them out over there, asking if they fel the same way to Justin Boren as they did to Kalis...I would be this existence on that board can be counted in seconds before he is banned.
Come on over to the good side, Kalis!
but getting Kalis in the fold probably doesn't hurt matters.
Gut feel or you have something or someone who knows differently?
No, I have no connections whatsoever, just a hunch. Probably just my inner pessimist trying to keep the optimist in me at bay before my hopes get too high.
You have to be positive. I didn't think we get Strobel and i though Kalis would stay with OSU. Stranger things have happened.
He doesn't seem to be in a huge hurry to commit elsewhere, and Tom mentioned in this article that he is visiting Happy Valley sometime soon. I don't know, it just seems so unlikely that not one, but two 5 star born and bred Ohio kids would decommit from OSU and go to Michigan. I mean, doesn't that sound like some kind of strange (and awesome) parallel universe?
However, Dymonte Thomas has stated in articles that we're his number one, and he's planning to brig Dunn with him to the ND game. I'm sure Dunn wouldn't mind going to school with his cousin.
Not sure if the would want to compete against each other for 3 out of their 4 years
I know he's primarily a RB in high school, but for some reason I thought we were looking at Thomas for defense. Specifically safety? I guess I'll need someone else to confirm.
Correct, we're recruiting Thomas as a Safety, at least so far we are.
It sounds like payback for Justin Boren.
I have a friend who's a diehard OSU fan. We go at it on Facebook during football season. One of his OSU friends sent me a picture of himself with Justin Boren and Justin's dad, and asked me, "Do you know who this is?" I think I might have to send back a picture of Kalis and say, "Hey, do you know who this is?"
He was expressing interest in Mihigan even before the tsio stuff really blew up
Joe Pa will never be there at the end of his college career. Plus look at the OL Hoke is building .... This is MICHIGAN !
Go Blue !
Just gave a nice hell yeah in the car. Thank you MGoDroid
I am simply beaming right now. I get the sense that another crack in the OSU dam has formed, and I'm just waiting for the NCAA rulings to deal the final blow that'll burst the whole thing.
You can still be part of "The Game"
-JT
Insert funny gif here
I told Brian for his wedding gift I'd get Kalis to decommit and visit Michigan this weekend... you're welcome
Sparty thinks they have a shot with Kalis. Its so funny. Also if dunn decommits they think they will get him because of pittman.
Sparty is an idiot.
He would never go there. Aren't their two primary RBs both sophomores this year? That would be stupid.
Edit: Sorry, Baker and Caper will be juniors, and Bell a sophomore. I guess it makes a little more sense.
Even if the coaching staff decided to make another position change for Nichols' and he was the only RB on the depth chart, it still wouldn't make sense. It's MSU.
How can I be expected to work tomorrow with all this recruiting excitement?!?!
Man I hope he goes Blue. That would be the ultimate!! This just made my night!!
Go back and look at the rosters of the great Bo, Mo and Lloyd teams. They were dominated by kids from Ohio. I live here (unfortunately) and I can tell you without question that if a kid has any athletic talent.....he plays football. Just like if a kid has any athletic talent in Michigan they play basketball. Same pool of kids...just different sport emphasis.
If we can actually open Ohio back up again watch out.
Michigan is much more diverse in sports than Ohio. Hockey, baseball, football, basketball, lacrosse. That's part of it.
Maybe....but if you look at D1 rosters for football and basketball you'll notice real quick that Ohio has a disproportionate share of football players and Michigan has an equally disproportionate share of basketball players. And our rosters used to look as Ohio-heavy as theirs did.
Where did our last two heisman trophy winners play high school ball?
Hint...not Michigan.
You're about 100 points away from 10000 mgopoints. Don't pretend like you're not excited.
If Kalis commits this weekend its gonna be a long week for my Buckeye slappy co-worker. He tried to shrug off the Tressel resignation but the establishment is crumbling from the inside out
I also have a co-worker who is a diehard tsio fan and he acted like this fallout wasn't gonna have any effect on recruiting. And now that it's starting to happen he pretends that he doesn't even follow recruiting and people who do are idiots. That's tsio fans for you
Said much about how I feel regarding all of this but I am grinning ear to ear out here in Colorado. Have been for a few weeks..
+1 for being in Colorado!
Dang, it must be spreading West because it's happening here in Kansas City too! Go Blue
CANT WAIT for Sam Well's recruiting roundup tomorrow morning on WTKA. I hope he can give some additional insights into Kalis, Dunn, and it's been awhile since we've heard anything on Burbridge.
on the last name. Sam won't hold a grudge.
Yours truly,
Beanie Webb
I know it's Webb. He recently told a story about some Philipino named Jenny calling him Sam Well. It was hilarious.
I never got why she was calling him that till I saw it in print. Though he never said where he found Jenny....
Haven't caught Rec Roundup in a while, or not since the podcasts went jenky (though I believe they're back up?) Anyhooz, I hereby retract my uninformed snark and will just tend to the perma grin this OSU misery causes me ... it's kind of like Viagra: "if it last more than five weeks, consult your doctor ... "
He called him Sam Well because last week Sam said his masseuse was Puerto Rican i believe, and calling him Sam Well.
Some of the o lineman will not want to come here since there are so many top prospects looking at us. Assuming we get commits from them before we run out of room.
Edit: then agianwe only will take another three so it probably won't be an issue. Its not like we can get them all anway. Disregard my previous statement please.
tOSU vs Michigan reaction to the news of Kalis decommiting......guess which one is the Michigan fan.
I don't do facebook. I got this from Buckeyeplanet....
...also this:
in which commenters say "good riddance" and Kalis has "lack of character" and "no balls."
I don't even know the word for that thread. Petulant? Ignorant? Douchetastic?
"Thanks Tom Strobel. No doubt Strobel is recruiting him hard to SCUM. Something needs to happen soon, this is such a nightmare." - inferior Tsio fan
The part that gets me, which seems to be a theme among these message board posters, is that the '11 class are true Buckeyes who are sticking with the program and making an honorable sacrifice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they sign their LOIs before this became a big mess and were thus stuck with it whether they liked it or not?
If any of the OSU commits wants a peek at the kind of risk they're taking by sticking with OSU, look no further than Lavell Blanchard. Lavell is one of my favorite Wolverines of all time, but he's kind of a tragic figure. The guy was the Gatorade Player of the Year (part of an unbelievably elite group with that honor), and I think the only thing that kept him from a long NBA career was his loyalty to the sinking ship that was Michigan basketball in the Martin scandal wake.
I always thought that Lavell deserved better, and I hope the Brionte Dunns of the world understand that they're taking an unbelievable risk if they stick with OSU right now.
Thanks for the reminder about Lavell. If I am remembering correctly, he is the basketball player who grew up in Ann Arbor (I think on white street, within a few blocks of the Athletic campus), went to Pioneer, and then suffered under the probation period and Brian Ellerbee. My in-laws used to park their car at his parents house for each football game. I always wondered what happened to Lavell.
Um, I wonder how Tony Starx knows this if he didn't do the thing he's making fun of...
"Bodies" from Drowning Pool: "let the bodies hit the floor..."
It appears as though the recruiting class exodus from Columbus has officially begun. It couldn't happen to a nicer school.
Special K
A monster o line, Morris at qb, Dunn at RB and any WR we pull in next year.
Throw the ball?
Because we would have Morris...
"This sucks because it obviously means that he's drinking the "restoring Michigan" koolaid while they're on the upswing and "Ohio State is going to somehow just drop off the competitive landscape despite the fact that their second string could beat most Big Ten teams including scUM" koolaid. What will be interesting is to see how the recruits react if we go 10-2 and blast scUM. I have no doubt that Fickell that will try to hang 60 on em."
Sheesh, talk about scarlet colored glasses.
Which QB exactly is going to hang 60 on anyone this year?
Probably the one with the nicest car
To Brian.
shaka laka!
+1 if you found that picture on google images.
+50 if that's your bunny and donut.
it's my bunny, why else would it let me put a donut on it's head.
Wow, that is either a huge bunny, or a tiny donut.
Epic Bunny! It has major Mgoblog meme potential. I chuckled every time I saw the pancake head but now that it has RL potential.... Perhaps a bunny with a steak on its head would put fear into the hearts of our enemies. Or maybe it would be ironic :-P
Kalis is leaving, and Yuengling is coming... This state just became less awful.
Yuengling is coming? CMON BABY LETS GO
the SHIT that people pester TomVH with on twitter. It is ridiculous!!! Leave the damn guy alone if you don't have an insightful comment.
Look at the very class PE teacher, z4willy, from NV:
"your high if you think Kalis commits to michigan on saturday"
and
"your dicks sure are getting hard for a guy who hasn't even coached a game..."
it continues.. Seriously, I've been looking at Tom's twitter just to see the jackasses who ask the most irrelevant questions. This post didn't really serve a purpose other than to point out that this z4willy fellow is an immense douche.
See, Brady Hoke actually has coached a college football game.
OSU's coach? You see, he hasn't.
Wait, you're expecting OSU fans to think logically before they type/talk?
Have you met a Buckeye?
But you are already at 5 and this comment deserves further recognition. Excellent point and worth much more.
I hope Kalis gets placed in the witness protection program for the next year after he commits to us this weekend. It could get ugly.
Even if he doesn't commit to Michigan but some other school, I feel sorry for the crap he's going to have to put up with regardless. That being said, I really hope he goes blue.
How's this for Bucknuts' position of Kalis:
"If he commits to SCUM before the season, I would hope he blows out both of his knees."
This is apparently acceptable on tsio's message boards. Nice guys down there.
Remember the threats on Ryan Hamby for dropping that pass against Texas in '05? I know that's been a while ago but it's amazing how fast fans down here turn on people. I've been hearing on local radio that Browns fans want Pryor on their team so they can throw batteries at him while he's on the bench! That's pretty sad.
Cryptic Tom is cryptic (@TomVH):
This could be an interesting weekend.
He's having cake?
Seems to me that it'll be another weekend of very little if any sleep for our recruiting warrior we know by the name of "Tom VH."
He does love him some desserts.
Wormley commitment i wonder?
Dream big! Wormley AND Kalis. Is there any way we can get Tom Strobel to UM this weekend?
just tweeted tom to ask if any commits are visiting
Sam said this morning that he didn't think either would commit this weekend (he said he has no information, this was only his gut feeling). But he didn't said that doesn't mean we aren't in great position with both of them.
Not a chance that Dunn sticks around. This is the beginning of the end for ohio.
Why is a dude slapping another dude?
no slow motion dong punches available as gifs.
It's a clip from MythBusters where they do a slap to the face to snap you out of a drunken buzz.
A guy in a beret....I see I wasn't far off
but does anyone know why it seems he's getting mixed reviews from the recruiting sites? He's a four-star to both Rivals and ESPN, but Rivals is really high on him. They put him as the 4th best OT and 18th best prospect in the country. ESPN, on the other hand, doesn't even rank him the 18th best OT. They have him at 20th best OT and 140th best player overall.
Should we just chalk that up to ESPN's Texas-and-SEC-footprint bias (although I thought Ohio was known universally to have great players) or is there a reason for this disparity?
Regardless, the kid looks like a stud on film and I would love for him to commit this weekend.
ESPN is a minor outlier, but when the worst ranking he gets is still in the top 150... yeah, he good.
I completely agree. No one is saying he's a bad player. I think I was really just most surprised that Rivals ranked him 18th overall and ESPN had him 20th at his position. That just doesn't even look normal
Part of it is probably that a lot of people are viewing him as a guard instead of a tackle.
Does anyone know if he's a tackle?
Seems like more of a OG to me, but (quoting Blue in SB's signature) then again I don't know shit
TomVH replied to someone on Twitter and said he thinks Kalis is an OG, FWIW.
and it seems like we are in great standing to land both, then you could put Kalis at guard because we'd already have Magnuson, Diamond, and Braden at tackle. Then you would have Stacey and Kalis at guard. Not to mention they might still try to land another OL like Olson or someone like that. I'd love to land 6 OL in this class considering we only took 4 the previous 2 years combined. Need more of those proverbial "lotto tickets" to cover for attrition, busts, ect.
Everything is pointing in the direction of our next double commit Wormley and Kalis will keep Michigan rolling. GO BLUE!
Could sell him on being the next Steve Hutchinson, Having some big road graders is always nice for your running game, and Kalis would be a great addition to an already impressive class of commits.
GO BLUE!
n3t said...
OSU has a lot of negativity surrounding the program...... hopefully quiet days are ahead which will help us out. 1 avg year of recruiting does not hurt that bad
It will be so amazing when he commits to MIchigan and helps us beath the sh*t out of tsio
