God be with you

May God be with the surgeons, guide their hands, protect you from infection, and give you a quick and full recovery. My guess is this is all happening right now, but my prayers are with you in the entire process.

It all depends on whether

It all depends on whether they grant him a medical hardship for the year. Unfortunately, we won't know that for another couple of years.

He'll probably be on Vicodin or some other strong drugs, so we'll probably get a couple of 4,000 word essays on how "the bubble screen just FEELS right, ya know what I mean? I mean... shit, what was I talking about?"

I Hope All Goes Well...

Hopefully, all goes as planned and the MGoFounder is up and about as soon as possible again.

However, being practical, we do need to find out how many reps Ace has been getting in practice and see if he can assume the role for a few games.

Get well soon, Brian!

Are the proper MGoBlog

Are the proper MGoBlog transfer of power rules in place while our esteemed leader is under the influence of anesthesia?  I haven't been notified about who's really in charge today.   I should have checked into this before my last Beveled Guilt donation.

Speedy recovery to you, Brian.

p.s. Photoshop op:   Brian munching on Yost pretzel remnant while in hospital gown on the surgical table.   Mark Dantonio looming overhead with surgical mask, scrubs, and scalpel...and a wicked smile.

MGoCOM level 5

All VIPs are currently on lockdown and heavily guarded:

- Heiko is in a bunker deep below Schembechler Hall.

- Ace is 40,000 feet somewhere over the Arctic Circle on MGoOne.

- Seth somehow procured a safehouse in Aruba for the next few weeks.  I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that the collections for Hail To The Victors 2012 are somehow involved . . .

- BISB and I are sitting in front of our computers per usual.  Apparently no protections were necessary - we are clearly expendable and not VIPs.

- Zone Left's whereabouts are unknown . . .

Bolivian

Oh, he is currently sweeping streets in Bolivian.  He took an all-expenses-paid trip there a few weeks back but was denied re-entry into the MGoCommunity.  So, without a penny to his name and unable to return home, he was forced to seek gainful employment with the Bolivian Department of Sanitation where he is working his way up the ladder.  His plan is to be assistant to the Manager of the DoS in 10-15 years and hopefully make enough money to get a new MGoUsername in the meantime.  However, the $2/day wages are making it difficult and he is currently considering turning to prostitution to supplement his income . . .

For those unaware

The surgery in question is Brian making half-good on his offer to give an arm and a leg to get Trey Burke to return to Michigan. The arm removal is scheduled for later this summer.

I'm feeling pretty glad that I reneged on my pledge to give my left... uh...

Are we going to get a post-op update

or press conference vid from the anesthesiologist (with transcript)?

We should live-blog this.

We all expect a UFR on the surgical team's performance soon, preferably before the Spring Game UFR.

I think a Vicodin laced uncertified voracity would simply be tremendous.

Brian, here's hoping that your surgery goes well and you are back in the game in record time.

Have a good week of druggy haze!

In case anyone responsible for Brian's convalescent care and gourmet feeding is reading this: tell the doc you want the scrip for the nausea meds right up front, rather than "we'll see how he responds to the painkillers."

Woulda saved me the very worst part of my week as caregiver after my fiancée had surgery to remove some bone spurs.

Good luck

I work in a hospital and heard a surgeon say something a while ago that always give me comfort.  He was speaking to a pt who was very nervous about his upcoming procedure.

"Only one person in this entire world has a greater interest than you in this being a perfect surgery.  Me."

Hope you have a speedy recovery.
