Just wondering why we didn't offer, or show any interest in him? As he seems to be a solid prospect at a position of need. Any answers will be appreciated.
JW Earnest Thomas?
I dont think he is that good...i know tons of kids at OLSM, and they say he is nothing special
For whatever reason Rivals really likes the kid, but neither Scout nor ESPN think much of him. In fact, ESPN has no regard for him at all (#108 S and a 2*), while Scout has him as the #37 S and a 3*.
He's a workout warrior.
If you watch his film, I promise you will come away unimpressed. He has no football instincts and no ball skills. He'll end up at linebacker, and I don't think he'll be a good one. I'm not sure why he's a 4-star to Rivals.
would put him #2 on the depthchart for LB's at UM right now.
But seriously . . . Earnest Thomas should be playing for a MAC school or lower. I'm kind of appalled that a school like UCLA would even offer him (and they're not that good).
I saw him play Sunday at Catholic Central. He didn't look that impressive. The kids on CC's football team say he's way overrated. They are very impressed by Bolden though. I guess his Oline is one of the worst.
