A few months ago when all the Bounty-gate stuff was breaking and Saints fans were accusing the NFL and ESPN of "having it out for them," Cowherd went on a rant about how they all sounded just like OSU fans whining about how the NCAA was out to get them regarding the tattoos and Tressel's screw-ups. He then said something long the lines of "Wake up, Saints fans. The NFL isn't out to get you, but they also don't need you. You're new money. You're not the Giants or the Packers. You're not Michigan or Alabama Football. You're Oregon. You're hot now, but no one will care that much if you go away for a while."

It was satisfying, if inflammatory.

I know all fanbases have low lifes, but Ohio's just seem to always take it to another level.  I can't remember who said it, but I once read a quote about an Ohio fan flipping off and cussing out Michigan players as they left the field, all while holding his small son.  Pathetic.  This is not meant tongue in cheek at all.  I think a lot of the people around here have serious self esteem issues and they place an inordinate value in their sports teams doing well.

It's not like we're loved around the conference. And you can find jackasses anywhere, sure.  But there's a difference between fan guff at say Illinois (which would still be miles beneath, say, Notre Dame), and lowlifes at MSU, on the classlessness scale....but going to Columbus is a whole different animal. MSU fans can be jerks, because they really hate Michigan. Around OSU fans, you're taking your own life in your hands.  They're not all there.  And it's not just us...as Texas fans what the worst road trip they've ever been on was. It's just when Michigan is in town, it goes to 11.

Every fan base definitely have their lows.  Ours hang in places they can say whatever...caugh facebook caugh.  Ohio just has a much higher horrible population.  Sure they have classy fans, but the majority are bucknuts with a screw loose that send high school kids death threats.  They truly are the most abnoxious fan bae around.

...and I don't mind Cowherd. He doesn't know as much about CFB as he thinks he does, but his show is pretty entertaining.

Puts the smack down on O-I-H-O pretty nicely here.

So hard to listen to Cowherd.  I know he's ESPN's bad-boy-loose cannon and all, but I would rather rip my ears off than listen to him.  Cowherd's also the guy who said that Michigan was done forever as a national power a couple years ago.

I think Cowherd is slowly coming around as a Michigan homer. His wife's from Michigan and I think a few more quality seasons he'll be a fan.

"Of the top 6 Ohio players, Brade Hoke has 4."

I don't know why, but that comment made me roar with laughter -- maybe just hearing it fills me with joy.  Anyway, assuming that means the 2013 class, who are the 4???

And then Coward said of the top 15 ranked recruits from michgan, we have 7, including 1-2-3.  Sparty and tSIO can cry together on that one.
