Reese Davis is normally a very high qualilty presence on ESPN. But that's not a particularly clever or funny one-liner. Michigan fans would be furious if he made an equivalent comment about Michigan.

And if I were the coach, Denard would have hell to pay for the air-eating stunt. All the Hokeamaniacs seem to look to the legacy of Bo Schembechler for religious guidance. Bo would have benched somebody who did that shit. Denard did it right in front of Hoke. A good reporter will question Hoke about that. Is he okay with that?

As for the fall-down at the end of the game; has anybody ever seen a Michigan team do that on the field after a game? I understand that it is a Hoke-era practice routine. Okay. But after a game? I disagree with the Buckeyes, and Zach Boren, that it was an insult or a mark of disrespect aimed at them. I don't think it was. But as long as all of the Hoke-era fans are saying how much "we finally look like Michigan footbauw again, YEAH!", I'd just say how unlike "Michigan football" that stunt looks like.

I've never been an advocate for the Borens. I was trying to draw attention to the true story of how Justin got pulled out of Michigan when Zach was not offered for years before John U. Bacon confirmed it in Three and Out. And the Borens' stunt with their press release was unforgiveable.

But I think Zach's got a point about the end of the game celebration. Ironically, he stayed out on the field the longest of the OSU players after the game, and was offering handshakes to all the Michigan players and coaches.

The Columbus Dispatch had a [day-counter] clock.

There was a downtown Columbus billboard with a day-counter.

And, if I am not mistaken, Brady Hoke installed a day-counter in Schembechler Hall.

These guys have no shame. What gets me is the arrogance of introducing Urban Meyer as the next coach even before the NCAA hands down sanctions to the program. It's almost as if they're trying to buy their way out of the problem while daring the NCAA to hit them with penalties. "We've hired Urban Meyer so how can you hit us with schollarship reductions" - or so the thinking goes. Frankly I'm surprised that Meyer would even consider the job given all of the uncertainty. I wouldn't be surprised if a deal with the NCAA was already in place.

I am so sick of hearing about Urban Meyer, especially those people who are worried about it. I don't care if Vince Lombardi came back from the dead to coach Ohio, after what Hoke and co. have done this year I'd still be confident moving forward. Urban Meyer came out of nowhere and was an awesome coach. Doesn't all the evidence so far indicate that Hoke will do the exact same? With even more class?

I don't want to burst your bubble, but Meyer to Ohio is big, national news, just as the RR firing and Michigan "coaching search" were. If you are tired of hearing about it now, wait until the actual signing happens. ESPN loves it when one of their ex-employees gets one of the top five coaching jobs in the country.

Zach Boren Tweets:

I lost so much respect for michigan after they won n threw the ball in the air acting like it was a grenade.

This is a great rivalry and to take it to that level of disrespect is just so uncalled for.

Act like you have won before n treat this rivalry like it should be treated.

you mean you cannot believe a family who moved their son to a better high school football program to get away from losers would be a sore loser/spoiled ass brat? lol...whatever...let them stew over this painful loss...I've been getting emails all weekend from ohio fans asking how epic the game was live etc...my only reply...ND win under the lights was 10x better...

the most painful thing in the world to an ego...is being ignored...on monday...I plan to walk in to work as if it were any other day. I did my celebrating with MICHIGAN on Saturday. Now it's time to look to bowl weeks...enjoy that moment BUT don't give a single one of them the satisfaction of stroking their ego...it's already fat jokes about hoke, and this was a young team, and on and on...so we beat a nobody yesterday...that's how I plan to treat it =)

I love that they are saying that without Ohio kids, we would never stand a chance to beat them. As if they should be proud of that? I guess I know where Brutus gets his nickname...

They're freaking out over every little fucking thing. It's too damn funny. Ohio State fans can easily dish it out, but when it gets thrown back at them, it's automatically classless and bushleage. Fuck them. They lost, deal with it.

Fans (the ones in those posts) have some type of new found mental disease. It's called HDE, halarious dumbfounded entertainment. I really couldnt stop laughing, each post was better than the last. That would be something though, urban Meyer vs Florida in the gator bowl.

It is funny to me how they've bragged about how many days since they lost to Michigan and as soon as the streak ended out come the lack of lcass comments. Maybe if you're former head coach wasn't a liar, who stood there and point blank lied to the NCAA, then continued to lie once he was caught. All the while, everyone of them was saying how it was a misunderstanding and he was only protecting his players. Then their lack of class comments might have some truth to them, but considering some (not all) of their fanbase is delusional, then they don't mean anything.

Ohio State played well. So well that they probably would have won if TP and Tressel were on the field.

BUT THEY GOT BOOTED FOR CHEATING!

"I just hope Urban just thanks tOSU for freeing him from espinhell!" - one Bucknuts comment

Right, because a multi-million dollar contract to do color commentary for college football is indentured servitude. Really?

I didn't see the scoreboard, but the comment was really funny. Better yet, Buckeye fans can't even figure out how to spell "Rece Davis."

I think Brian will probably have the most enjoyment he's ever had while writing this week's Schadenfreude column.

I think of all the things they say, blaming the refs for the loss had to be the most amusing in light of that overturned bs TD call which kept them in the game.
