Just read on Michigan Rivals....

That Tim Sullivan was just hired to replace Josh Helmholdt as their recruiting analysist/writer. The article stated "For the last two years Tim has been a staff writer and recruiting analyst for MGoBlog.com."

That is awesome.  I saw the article but didn't recognize the last name.  Now I feel like an idiot.

With Tim gone to RIvals - will Brian / Tom take their talents to ESPN?

As a loyal MGoBlog reader and frequent lurker on the Rivals.com Michigan message board (The Fort),  Tim has big shoes to fill but he's going to be great at it.  The other part of the post on Rivals was that TomVH is headed to work with Rittenberg @ ESPN.  Big losses for MGoBlog.

Non-paywalled confirmation:

I'd like to welcome Tim Sullivan (@varsityblue) to the team at TheWolverine.com. Tim will be our new recruiting editor.

time to get those resumes into Brian if you're interested in working in this field...

EDIT: Although I wouldn't be surprised if he already has candidates in mind (what we in the biz call a succession plan for key talent).  Anyway, best of luck to Tim and Tom in their new ventures.

I think it was Spath who got the job at the Wolverine I applied for originally.  But I'd have to trace the timeline to be sure.  Now they have a whole "staff" (which back then consisted of Borton and someone else).

Guys I just started tracking Brian's private jet and have found that he's flying to Bristol, CT. Initial reports on MLive and Bleacher are that Pat Forde will be the new Tim.

Trust me, the reports came from a guy who said that he definitely knows a guy who is involved at ESPN. This is rock solid.

If Tim and Tom are indeed out the door, they will be sorely missed, but it will survive. More importantly, this is awesome news for those guys, who we all know deserve it big time. The Brian Cook coaching tree sure is Impressive.

Some possibilities will come from this:

1) This will only set up a reality show - who wants to be MGoBlog's new recruiting tsar?

2) Or, we could roll out the MGoBlog Recruiting Genius Thunderdome, and the winner gets the spoils....
