Just finished bowling with Denard Robinson! PIC now posted!

Guys, I just had an awesome evening! My wife and I both graduated from UM and my wife is an auditor for UM. She has a yearly bowling outing, and guess who walks in?? Denard Robinson! I will tell you guys that I have been around a fair amount of Michigan football players, and this kid is a class act and will make us proud one day. I was trying not to be too excited and didn't approach him, but he actually came over and introduced himself to me. Since he broke the ice, I asked if he would take a picture with my son, and he did! By the way, he is a great bowler.. Great kid, and will go very far in life.

You said Denard approached you and introduced himself? I'm not doubting the story, I just wonder why he would do that to a stranger? Or do you or your wife know him?

I was eating nachos, and I had just stood up to get ready to bowl. When I stood up, he was coming back with his shoes.. So he came over and asked if I was sitting there.. I said no, do your thing. While I was still standing there, he said are you bowling too? I told him yeah, I'm here with my wife, but I'm no good.. The he laughed, extended his hand and said hey my name is denard.. That was it, we spoke a couple more times. The best part is my son was flirting with his girlfriend..

I know.. I even said "yeah I know who you are."I will say that he bowled all games and he interacted with everyone. He took pictures, signed autographs the works. I'm 34 and other than Denard and his girl, my wife and I were the youngest people there. But he was truly comfortable even though 95% of the people were 20 years older than him. This is what makes him so classy.. I'm sure there were plenty of other not-so-positive things a 21 year old heisman contender could have been doing on a Friday night. But he stayed and had a great time. Hell, I almost didn't go myself.

First of all, could he look any more like Desmond in that picture?

Secondly, it's not a surprise to me that Denard is a good bowler. He's so fast, he probably runs down the lane, knocks over the pins, and then is back to the line before anyone notices. Dilithium is powerful stuff.
