Hemingway is listed as "doubtful" for this week. Does this petrify anyone else? Looks like Stonum is going to get his shot.
Junior probably won't play this weekend
or Roundtree. He sure stretched the field in the spring game.
Hope one of the other guys like Mathews steps up.
This is clearly a statement by RR to screw with Jabba the Weiss' game plan - or a strong play by a Michigan Football Hating God. If the latter, then I really miss Lloyd's silence on injuries. Sure it sucked when people didn't play and you had no idea why, but it made the days leading up to such a game less stressful.
was the poster who said they saw Junior walking around with a boot on his foot this week? Maybe we should of payed more attention to them. Considering his injuries last year you have to imagine the couching staff is going to be cautious and there's almost no way that Junior plays.
son of a...
On Michigan's official depth chart, Hemingway is listed as questionable and Minor probable.
How is he doubtful if he is listed as only questionable?
Isn't the pecking order for a player's status:
Irish what's the deal? You seem a little tense as of late. :)
It's gonna make a tough game only tougher
Lets just hope it's not too serious... and that RR's not saving him for Eastern.
It seems to me for the most part with the pros if they are listed as doubtful they never see the field. As for questionable its probably one of those if he is needed for a close game come the third quarter he may step on the field. Time will tell. They are not going to risk his health for a non-conference game...unless Michigan will be contending for a national title this year, this game means a little less than crap anyway. That being said I want to win the crap games too! Go Blue!
This is a pretty big swing game. If we win this one we are set up for a really nice year. However i'm not going to panic about Hemingway being out. It sucks because he is starting to emerge as a big time playmaker. But the offensive side of the ball is a place where we actually have depth. Thank god its not a DB. We still have big play threats, its time for some of the young guys to step up.
I was trying to have fun by getting the ND fans wound up by belittling the game....
but I see a couple of problems here:
(1) Not too many ND fans around these parts. There's Irish, but he's already wound up. :)
(2) "Fishing for a reaction" is dangerously close to the definition of a troll.
Man I’ve been bragging on Hemmingway all week to nd fans and now he’s hurt. I’ve really like Stonum every since he signed with us because of his size and speed, but I hope Roundtree gets the nod. I really like how he played in the spring game, but since I don’t go to practice I’m trusting RR judgment over mine.
Tacopants has returned to the 2 deep...we will be fine
Ken Griffey Jr, right? Not Junior I-had-100-yards-in-the-first-half Hemingway.
I commented in the other thread about Rich Rod's presser yesterday, but I saw Junior walking by Angell yesterday around noon with one of those huge boots on his leg. Thought it was just a precaution, but maybe it was just one of those things where he thought it was a mild sprain and they kept him out of the second half, but then it felt a lot worse the next day.
FWIW--I sat in section 24, row A of the WMU game, and Junior sat upright 5 yards to my left after he exited the game. He appeared to be in a lot of pain when the trainers manipulated his ankle. He also seemed sad. Maybe that means something; maybe it doesn't. However, this blurb is nothing if not consistent with today's injury report.
